How can losing to the best in the division be embarrasing? The fact that he took the fight says it all. That's it. The **** talking about Haye is completely baseless at this point. Everyone was saying that Haye wanted Wlad because he was the easier champ and that the Klitschkos were trapping him into fighting the "better" fighter in Vitali. Haye called their bluff.

Win, lose, or draw, Haye's pride should be intact.

I think Dave Haye is Gay and I don't care for the bloke.... I'm all for Vitali Klitschko and his power...... I just hope Klit can be motivated and focused for Haye.... I don't want Vitali Klit to be slipping up and getting lazy on me....

If people didn't like what they see as Haye being an insulting loud mouth before...they ain't seen nothing yet, he's going to put the hype machine into overdrive.

Remember - the more attention this fight gets, the bigger the crowd and viewing public, the bigger Haye's payday will be. He'll shoot his mouth off for England to get that done.

I certainly hope Vitali replies in kind too.

I CANNOT wait for this fight!!!?
Definately a heavyweight fight to look forward to in 2009, who else has the pedigree out there to come up against one of the Klitschko's...
I can't even find a decent american in the heavyweight division who hasnt had his chance already who deserves a shot....

Foreman was going to muder Ali. Tyson was going to severely hurt Holyfield. Oscar was going to put on a show with pac. Tyson was going to completely murder Danny Williams too.
Nothing is a foregone conclusion in boxing lets be excited that an exciting fight is happening at HW for the first time in awhile and keep it at that.

ROLMAO. Vitlai has excellent movement and reflexes. He moves much better than Wlad. Its true. In addition, he's a top counter puncher with an iron chin and no fear. If Haye wants to fight, he's going down.

My only hope if Vitlai gets some credit for this win.

Vitali needs to do his part and fire up the hype machine too. He can't sit there and not say much, Haye's gonna be yabbering away and Vitali needs to fire some good verbal shots across the bow.

Why is everyone so incredibly down on Haye over this fight? Is there any particular reason Haye can't outspeed and outlast this old, inactive fighter? Because he beat up Sam "What The **** Am I Doing Here" Peter? Of course Vitali is favourite, but i'm apparently the only guy going who thinks that Haye's chances are better against Vitali than Wlad. Wlad would box his ears off. Vitali is older and just doesn't have rounds!

Nobody here can enivisage a situation where Haye stays one step ahead? I think that Vitali is at the stage where he doesn't want to over-commit and he doesn't want to lay it on. He's at the stage where he wants to control the pace of the fight. He is an expert at doing this.

Nobody sees a situation where Haye's speed flusters Vitali? Haye can win.

A couple of things. First, when was the last time Vitali's "iron chin" was properly tested? Some time. Fighters get old bro. I believe, at the very least, we'll find out in the Vitali fight.

Does he move better than Wlad? I think Wlad is looking better and better on is feet.

I agree that he has no fear, I agree that he is an excellent counter-puncher. But oftentimes with a counter-punching general, if he finds himself out-sped he can have trouble.

As for the credit question, I beleive in what my eyes are telling me, Haye is a good fighter. Vitali might be a favourite, but that doesn't mean he should recieve no credit. But prepare yourself for some "blown up cruiserweight" bull**** should it happen the way you see it.

Yeah, good post. Both these guys deserve props, you got Haye taking on the second (IMO) toughest fight out there for him, you got an old champ taking on a young pup with speed when he could have looked for something softer.
