This is where I'm at as well. I hope it's true, but not getting my hopes too high yet until something official comes down. Anything from the people in the UK (and not just Haye saying things) would be great.
Ok, sweet! So the BBC News is reporting this as a done deal? I guess Gomez was paid to step aside then?
If this is true, surely even the Hayeters will give him due respect for taking the fight so early in his heavyweight career. Big mouth or not, he's got some guts!
I love David for taking this fight but Vitali will beat him all the same; even in loss though Haye will be the undisputed Peoples CHampion; he has determination!
I think Haye has more of a chance than many suggest, but I'm looking forward to seeing him getting beat down. I wonder whether I should go....I am British(Scottish) and would like to cheer on Vitali....not too sure the punters will be enamoured with me when Vitali knocks his ass out all things considered!
This was always his aim...get one win at heavyweight n see if he could wangle a title shot. Its not really fair, but I cant blame the guy for trying. I hope he can pull it off but I think he's more likely to get KO'd.
If this is true, I give him huge respect for his balls but it is a foolish move. He could win a world title against any of the other heavies (excluding both Klit brothers) and he would have the punchers chance against Wlad. I don't see any way for him to win against Vitali.
