haye is my fave active boxer, he has been an inspiration to english boxers.

he silver medalled in the world amateur championships, something no1 before him from my country had done.

he came back from a crushing defeat to unify the cruiser division.

he has a really exciting style due to his speed, power and weak chin.

he has beat champs in their own back yard.

he has so far backed up all his claims.

the 1 gripe i have is that he didnt fight the domestic scene first, it annoys me when fighters dont fight for the british, commonwealth and european belts (i also share this gripe with amir khan)

people calling him a paper champ talk bollox, by that claim bute is a paper champ as is ward and kessler.

i fully expect him to take on k2. i expect him to beat vitali and then get outclassed by wlad.

if he retires without taking on k2 he will lose my respect, as did eubank and calzaghe.

but i am willing to wait and see what his next move is

If Haye didnt burst into the heavyweight scene talking as much **** as he did (practically stalking wladimir, taunting both brothers, getting very personal with them) then it wouldnt be that big of a deal that he isnt facing them.
