i AM a David Haye fan! i respect what hes achieved in such few bouts!

were talking about 25 fights and hes been undisputed unified cruiserweight champ, and holds the WBA belt and has made 1 defense already!
I am a bit baffled at times at the abuse Haye gets on here. at the end of the day
    -he beat mormeck in france,
    -whooped maccraineli,
-had one tune up against Barett at hevyweight.
-Then got injured preparing for wlad (its not my place to say wether i think this injury was genuine or not i just want to point out the KLITSCHKOS have missed SO many defences coz of injury its funny hearing them accuse haye)
-vitali had stupid demands over the purse for the fight with haye. i dont blame haye ONE BIT for going after valuex in order to gain a bargaining chip for future negotiations, the WBA belt.
-He BEAT valuev in a DULL fight but he did what he had to do! he never said it was a pritty fight he claims he injured his hand early and thus couldnt go for the KO
    - HAD to fight Ruiz his mandatory and handled him easily...

NOW however is where things get interesting. So far in his career i cant really blame Anything Haye has done. i think hes a funny character and his trash talking is HILARIOUS at times.
HOWEVER if he fights AUDLEY HARISSOn or another bumm thats when i will be fed up.

In my eyes haye hasnt done enough2 warrant the abuse he gets, but if he fights someone **** next i will b very unconvinced. IF the wlad fight falls through, he simply HAS to fight a good contender. Someone like adamek or povetkin someone RANKED!

An Audley Harisson fight would be INEXCUSABLE and i doubt i would take anything haye says/does seriously again

BUT we will wait and see

Nobody would complain if Haye wasn't running his mouth like he did before, bad mouthing the Klits and saying how he'd wipe the floor with them. Haye could fight Audley and whoever he wants to and nobody would bash him.

But the way things stand he deserves all the bashing he gets. I'll change my mind about Haye once he's in the ring with Wlad and the first bell rings. Until the he's a fraud because he talks big and then goes into hiding. Disgraceful.

fair enough mate. but the thing is he got Wlad agreeing to a fight after just ONE fight with barett.
It got him the fight! The title shot.

I understand hes getting abuse for acting like a dick. And i will totally agree with everyone if he dodges the klits this time and fights a bumm.

Thats why i hope to god he doesnt go down that road and jus gets in on with them already like he said he would. He used big words its time to back them up NOW. he has no excuses. wlad called him out, haye has a belt himself. So well wait and see what unfolds

can we agree that while the Klitchkos have postponed fighting because of injuries (aside from Vitali's bout with retirement) they have come back to honor their obligations and have not actually missed any fights.

Oh come on. Seeing Haye shatter Fraudley's glass jaw would be AWESOME entertainment. We could all take bets on how long A-FARCE would be unconscious.

Tbh the fight makes so much sense on a personal level.

they where amateur team mates, harrison stole haye's glory by claiming gold, haye stole it back by winning the cw title whilst audley was losing to journeymen.

plus he is euro champ, he is a credible opponent.

i hope they fight at some point.

Wouldn't call Harrison a bum. He's probably about as legiitmate an opponent as Sosnowski. And obviously this is a fight that's gonna generate big bucks for Haye.

It's just that Haye's pattern has become unmistakable. Everyone he has fought has been pushing-40, past-his-prime. The only win against a Top 10 heavy is Valuev.

The contract to fight Vitali was the same contract he had already signed to fight Wladimir... Haye simply chose the easier fight with Valuev. It was the logical choice to make from a business perspective, because he won the WBA title and still has a fight with either Klitschko on the table. The thing that upsets me is that he got himself into this position by calling out the Klitschkos and when it came time to put up he acted like a business man instead of a fighter. He hadn't earned a title shot up to that point like he should have by rising up through the rankings, but anyway was given the opportunity to fight for the title based on the hype and drama he created. Haye's actions don't correspond to his mouth and its not what anyone likes to see. He has no excuses now. Make it happen already.

This fight would sell in britian. Haye probably would get more out of this fight interms of estabilishing his own name amoung british sports fans then he would out of fighting a much more dangerous fighter like Adamek. Its easy to sell an all british fight to british fight fans so from that point of view I won't be so much pissed that he's fighting Audley but because he's not fighting the Klits.

Its a big Money fight for Haye. And as someone who is in the sport as a business man, this is a business decision. Haye can make much more fighting Adamek and Harrison for much less risk than he can taking a crap deal(the Klitschko's are notorious low ballers.) and much higher risk of losing his belt.

National rivalries aside....I think I just read that Audley is a credible opponent??? Yes, I did. It's about an inch up in black and white. Are you serious? Who has 37 year-old Audley beaten to deserve a title shot? :patsch

Then Haye better stop telling us how is "not fighting for money, he is fighting for fame and legacy". It's all BS:

"Money doesn't really enter my head in terms of boxing," Haye told BBC Sport.
"All I focus on is being the best boxer I can be. Money is not the reason I want to fight the Klitschko brothers, I want to prove I am the best. By beating them money will follow but for me it's all about the legacy and the glory."
