a chagaev-fight just doesn't make any sense to haye, the risk-reward-ratio just isn't there, that's why he will also do anything possible to avoid povetkin.

haye is looking for big names that don't represent real threats, rahman, holyfield etc.

and lol at the guys that still proclaim the klitschkos ducked haye...

haye never had the slightest intention to fight either brother, all he wanted was the publicity and the opportunity to say they ducked him bc he knew his fans are stupid enough to buy that **** even if the facts are very clear.

I think Travis Walker would make some other title contenders look bad if they were to get in the ring with him. That's not to hype Chagaev. But in fairness to Chagaev, the other 2 guys being hyped for Haye--Mormeck and Povetkin--have also looked bad recently. Also, Chagaev would probably show up in better physical condition for a championship bout.

Who knows, maybe I'm jumping to conclusions. Maybe Chagaev is the one ducking and its being kept discreet. Seems unlikely though. What seems likelier is Chagaev having Hep B is not the reason Haye doesn't want to fight him. There are alot of reasons Haye might not want to fight Chagaev--money, risk, styles...for starters.

If Mormeck-Haye gets made and Chagaev doesn't make a big stink I bet he's getting a check.

WBA ordered the fight. If Universum wins the purse bid (unlikely) Haye will have no choice but to fight in Germany

That's a fair call. If Chagaev was your mandatory, then you would get the vaccine just in case you had to fight him.

If you had no intention of ever fighting him, you would not get the vaccine. That would be a pretty damn unavoidably convincing giveaway.

The next question is: has Haye had the vaccine? I don't suppose Haye's doctor happens to post here?

Haye isn't scared of Chagaev, why would he? Chagaev was almost knocked out against a journeyman in what was supposed to be a tune up.

Not sure how marketable Chagaev is, probably this fight would be the worst payday for Haye between Valuev/Ruiz/Audley. That's the only reason Haye will likely not be too happy with fighting Chagaev.

only in germany can chagaev get licensed, wlad fought him because he's one of those bug chasing homos who think getting aids is sexy.

The British Boxing Board of Control requires Hep B vaccination as a prerequisite to licensing.....so yes he has has had it. Haye just doesn't want the fight.

Zabjudah: That's not what SimplyTheBest said.

STB said that the BBBoC requires that every fighter get vaccinated for Hep B in order to get licensed to fight. If this is true, Haye should already be vaccinated.
