Nothing, to be honest. It's unfortunate that he's just too small to have a real shot at the (two) top dogs in the current heavyweight scene and too big to stay at cruiser. That's what will ultimately have held him back from greatness when time is called on his career. He can't and won't beat Klitschko, unfortunately. He's missed the boost by a couple of inches and a couple of stones.
Well that's all it takes. If someone appears fast & powerful people will give them a chance especially as some people don't see Wlad as invincible. Wlad is still favourite by the way. People just think Haye has a better chance than some of the slow overweight heavies.
I don't think he's too small to beat Wlad. He is however not good enough to beat Wlad. Loved to be proved wrong however.

Haye isn't Pacquiao and when has Pacquiao taken on a truly world class opponent who outweighed him by three stones on fight night? Despite the size disadvantage, if Haye had a chin and engine like Pacquiao, he'd destroy Wlad. He doesn't.
