Chase me around the ring for my bank account is more like it. Haye won't fight. We already know this.

Considering there are no American HW capable of even running from Vitali, never mind making a legacy fight for Vitali, Haye is the only fight that would put Vitali in the middle echelon of ATG HW.

Haye hasn't done anything at HW to improve Vitali's legacy and it looks like he has no intention of ever doing so. Sorry, Haye is a payday, nothing more. I still want the fight but understand if Vitali retires or simply moves on to someone he knows will show up on fight day.

Exactly. And the worst part is that Wlad was almost as afraid as Haye was during the fight. Gaye didn't do anything to make Wlad's self-doubt tangible, though.

:verysad There was once a time where heavyweights actually hit each other.

It feels a bit odd to see "Haye" and "legacy" in one sentence

“It’s not about money for me. I know I underachieved against Wladimir,” says Haye.

“I wasn’t firing on all cylinders, for whatever reason. It wasn’t the real me in there, and you always want to go out [in your career] showing everybody what you really have.”

Haye may claim that he was out of sorts against Klitschko, but a cynic might remember that he fought Wladimir in much the same way that he fought Russian giant and former WBA titleholder Nikolai Valuev:

and trying to pot-shot on occasion.
While Haye got away with it—barely—against Valuev (even a Haye supporter like Sky Sports’ Jim Watt gave the fight to the Russian), it was a doomed strategy against the much superior Klitschko.

    Good point PolishPummler!

I forgot how close Hayes fight with Valuev actually was. I think I had Haye up by a round or 2.

    YAWNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN
instead of begging like a dog for a fight, maybe...just maybe you fight a few times against a top 5 guy and force him to fight you? or is it easier to comment on others legacy rather than cement your own? The world will remember Haye talking **** for 3 years and getting shut out over 12 rounds fighting like a scared rabbit

then sign the contract you fairly negotiated but then tried to change at the last minute.......(then fought Chisora)

see haye pushes and pushes to get what he wants, when the brothers finally say "forget it" haye resorts to going back to the public/Media with this quote and that quote hoping to get more public pressure on the K brothers

**** IS OLD DAVID.... been watching you do the same **** for 5 years now...... you have been calling out the brothers and have had 5 different contracts yet you only signed 1.....

    sign and fight or STFU

I thought he signed two? He just welshed on one at the last minute. Therein lies the problem. Even if he signs the contract he might not show up. Even if he shows up he probably won't fight.
