Ohhhhh ****, this is bad news. You've got to feel for everybody who has brought tickets, flights and booked hotels. Obviously Haye's health is important, and the fight can wait till he is better, but if I was booked up for Gelsenkirchen in 3 weeks time I would be mighty, mighty pissed right now.
On the plus side... Sky Sports has actually mentioned the name of a non-Sky fighter. Terrible news though, first Heavyweight fight I've REALLY been looking forward to in ages.
Surely thats too convenient to be a conspiracy theory? However this could very well signal the end of setanta. Plenty of people will have cancelled due to the end of the Football season, while a lot were hanging around for this fight then cancelling. Its absolutely terrible if it is cancelled due to setanta going bust. As convenient as it is, I still presume its a legit injury.
With all the rumours about Setanta and Haye's injury. If I was Haye, I would not take the fight if I thought Setanta would go bust and I wasn't getting paid.
I read that Haye has already made a lot of money off the fight. I guess from selling t-shirts and stuff.
