I hope he fights someone known and established, instead of someone who we've never heard of. Rahman would be good. McCline or TOS, even. I am looking forward to seeing how Haye does. His cocky mouthing has done a good job in promoting himself.
Sounds like you just want to see a brutal KO, I would actually like to see Haye tested, and of course a brutal KO if it ends up that way.
Given that Haye was the unified cruiserweight champion ... he should be in an eliminator for the HW championship of his choice. He didn't lose his title and given his status should be in line for an immediate title shot. If he really wants to fight Klitschko - then he should step up against Alexander Povetkin. I think that Povetkin would be a very tough fight for Haye and would really test Haye's status as a HW. Povetkin isn't a strong HW, but is work rate is very high and he's continuously active for 12 rounds. I think that will test Haye's boxing skill at that weight and his endurance. He's been known to burn himself out and has paid for it in the past ... Povetkin has a good chin and is a solid HW.
I am not sure I agree that Haye should just step right into a titleshot at heavy, or even an eliminator fight, right off the bat as his heavyweight debut. He should have to beat a top ten or even a top fifteen fighter, first. Then I think he would deserve an eliminator fight, maybe. When you first enter a new division, even a unifed champion of a lower weight class don't just supass everyone else who has been fighting their way up in that divison. That's not fair to the current heavies like Povetkin and others. Being new to the division, I think Haye should have to earn his way into the top ten heavies, first.
at this time this is what the heavyweights need and especially on A big network like HBO. that way it brings attention to the HW division. if the highlight Ko's are garunteed on TV. then people will take notice:good
you know what fitz i agree with that because alex is not a big HW. like a peter or mccline who still might be too much for haye at this point.
He could fight Fraudley and KO him in 1 I'd like to see him fight Rahman, who he would beat easily but is not seen as a total joke like Fraudley is. It would be a good step up fight and set him up for a bigger one immediately afterwards
Then fight one of those smaller, crowd pleasing heavies like Mollo or Minto in the U.S. Id love for him the splatter Greenburg aswell.
