Look I actually enjoy your posts most of the time, they are unique to say the least & sometimes quite amusing. I just don't agree that Enzo was poor against Haye, I just think they're leagues apart in terms of talent.

Fair enough - Haye probaly is superior to Enzo - he was flattered though cos he took no abuse back

against Frogameni he took abuse and didnt look so great

the only point I'm making at the moment is this is a David Haye thread not a Enzo one

Jury is out on Haye until he has fought a top heavy, in my opinion he'll be okay. The divsion is weak & he has the tools to give any of them problems.

He took no abuse back because of styles, and Enzo not being as good as you think/thought. The problem you have is that you seem to apportion criticism and/or worry over Haye not being tested by Enzo, yet fail to acknowledge that it is actually Enzo's fault that was the case. Backwards logic to say the least.

I agree he's going to get found out against the Klitschko's though.

I think Enzo did **** himself - and is now kicking himself and living with the regret he didnt be more assertive and "punch a hole in his head" like he said he would do.

Haye is flawed fighter and Enzo diod nothing to try and impose himself on the fight

He couldn't punch a hole in his head. He realised Haye was far too sharp and quick with his counters, and wasn't comfortable leading off because he felt Haye's power on his gloves. Therefore he resembled something of a tentative wreck.

It's not really a matter of what Enzo does or did, but I don't think you'll realise this unless they fight again.

You know a guys in trouble when everybody that is picking Enzo is doing so because of the other guys problem with weight. That's a very frail basket to be putting all your eggs in.

"when I drop Haye - he wont be getting back up"

Hayes just a glamour boy thats all

I feel in hindsight - Enzo Mac - done to much talking - and on the night the reality hit him he was facing the undisputed world champion

up until that night - they had simliar records

I never bought into what I still consider a bogus theory that Haye had faced much better competition

    like who????

apart from Mormeck - the World No 1

but this theory was about before Haye beat Mormeck

    Frogemeni was Haye's toughest fight

Enzo Macs was probaly Wayne Braithwaite

Braithwaite is a former WBC No1 Champion

Frogmaneni was a tough brave but limited European

the thing that made Haye cut through Enzo easy I feel is Enzo always had a very leaky defence

when that barrage was landing stuck in the corner - he took them all flush - he didnt even have his gloves up

Flint, which attributes would you actually rate Enzo above Haye for though? There is very little to go on, or reason to think a rematch is worthwhile. Think about it and get back to me.

He just got beat by a superior fighter, you are reading too much into it in my opinion.

Flint, I don't understand why you keep finding bizarre Enzo comments and then holding them up as the shining light of truth.

Enzo thinks blasting out Bobby Gunn makes him capable of beating Haye.

Enzo is so wrong it's untrue.

I can't be arsed reading through the other 4 pages but in answer to the original question: Yes, the Enzo result does flatter Haye.

    Does it though?

It really depends on how much stock you put in Enzo. To me it doesn't flatter him at all, because Enzo was never that great and I predicted him to get ended in 5 rounds anyway. On which grounds does it flatter him?

If people did think Enzo was anything special, the fight should have put things into perspective.

I think Enzo is a pretty decent fighter in a poor division, Haye has beaten him, an old Mormeck and now he's going to save the heavyweight division? I've nothing against Haye but I remain to be convinced.

Exactly. So a round 2 KO doesn't really flatter Haye, its probably about what you expected - but perhaps a bit earlier?

I'm not that convinced Haye is a saviour either. There are guys he'll beat and plenty he'll struggle badly with.

The HWs are poor enough that Haye will make waves but the Enzo and Mormeck fights are getting hm too much praise from some quarters IMHO.
