I'm not sure if its praise or just hype. He talks a lot, knocks guys out and looks good, the heavies are floundering. He'll get hype for those reasons.

His resume isn't outstanding or anything, but easily top 10 at cruiser all-time which shows how bad its been.

I think they are going the right way about it, when I look at the names they are courting. They are cherrypicking guys to get the hype train up and running, and to get that fight with Wlad which he has a slim punchers chance in.

Enzo would lose to a mid round stoppage.

Flint, do yourself a favour and let the Enzo thing go. You're not even making much sense any more, what with all this talk about your back garden, taxi cabs etc, etc.

    I think so.

I've outlined the guys Haye will struggle with for future reference. The Dr's will beat his ass.

Ibragimov and Chagaev he'll really struggle with and look bad

The circus freak would beat him

    John Ruiz would beat him

Of the other top 10's I think he beats Samuel "Rabbit punch extraordinaire" Peter and Povetkin, just stylistically.

He remembered to hand it over the next time, so maybe Flint misjudged his character.

I think Haye would not be getting half the hype he is now if he had moved to heavy after either the Fragomeni or Mormeck fight. So yes I do think the Maccarinelli fight has got some people thinking Haye is some kind of HW saviour. Time will tell.

I agree, Fragomeni, Mormeck (decked and hurt), Enzo is a good run of wins but its hardly awe inspiring. I wish Haye all the best, the Heavies need shaking up but some people are getting a wee bit carried away IMHO.

The Big mac fight has flattered Haye no doubt. The way the Pavlik beat down of Locket has increased his kudos, is slightly more shocking though.

Yep, people on the General Forum are saying that Calzaghe didn't fight Pavlik becuase of what happened in the Lockett fight. I mean FFS???? Do they really think the Calzaghes were surprised by the outcome of that fight?

Pavliks currency is going through the roof, no doubt.

If Joe can close out his career with Kessler, Hopkins, Jones and Pavlik then it'll go a long way to silence the critics. When you can throw in Mitchell, Woodhall, Brewer, Lacy and Eubank its a pretty good career IMHO.

It is a good career no doubt, it's just when you start comparing it to "greats", of which some rank him, thats when the cracks start appearing.

*shame on you for including Jones*
