I was thinking today that I'd guess he'll have at least 1, maybe 2 defences before he thinks about Wlad.

Dunno why, just a feeling I have.

I don't really see it as a valid comparison, If your fighting about 4 opponents a year, I think it only natural that they are not all going to be top draw and just over a year of picking up the belt he was fighting SRL. He was 22/23, I really don't see how you can compare that to what Haye is doing now. I'm very sure, I know there are, many examples of belt holders fighting duds, but I realy don't think that's a good one.

Anyway, personally I think Haye has already used up his quota of questionable opposition and purchased time at HW. Ruiz and Barrett (who few seemed to know until he fought Haye) were cooked (please don't bring up an even more cooked Tua) and Valuev was spoke of as a total joke on here until Haye beat him.

This is a harsh comment I know, but truth be known, even the Enzo fight was nothing more than a money fight, there were better fighters in the division at the time, I don't blame Haye for snapping that one up though.

You have very good reason to come to that conclusion. I suppose you could call it an educated guess based on his previous actions.

I've a bet on with Will he won't fight a Klit by next June. :hat

Good bet. How often Haye is fighting that means he'll just need to take 1 "non-Klitscho" fight after Harrison and you've won your bet.

i honestly do because i dont subscribe to the "hayes scared" theory , i just think hes looked at harrison and seen easy money and lots of it to be honest he would be stupid not to fight harrison for the risk/reward factor and then fight the kliots

hes not scared of fighting wlad or vitali he just knows that if he loses the road back will be long and not very fruitfull in terms of money at the moment hes in a postion to cash in on his fame and title then take on a risky fight with vitali

thats the way i see it anyway

I don't get upset or wound up about much, whatever the popular topics are on ESB I just comment on them as I see them,

I was Hatton fan, I'll hold my hands up to that but I don't like or dislike Haye any more than any other British boxer. I just don't see the fuss in waiting to see how everything pans out over the "long haul" of his career. Haye-Wlad happens in 2011 or 2012 instead of 2010 then I don't really care, theres plenty of other fights to watch in the meantime.

TBH I can see Haye vs. K2 being great occasions but **** fights and I'm not going to get too upset that Haye-Harrison is stopping me watching Haye-Povetkin or Haye-Chagaev.

I've only seen him fight twice, he looks OK but he's not going to make it at the very top IMHO. Him and Haye might be fun but only in the same way as Harrison is, "if he catches Haye.....".

He'd probably have more chance of landing than Harrison given Harrison fights 'scared'.

    What about Haye/Chis...Forget it.

Harrison isn't even deserving to fight for the British title at this stage let alone a 'World Title.'

'DAVID HAYE: I WILL QUIT BOXING NEXT YEAR

WORLD heavyweight champion David Haye insists he will still hang up his gloves next year.

Although he admits there are massive fights around the corner, he intends to quit the ring before he’s 31 in October 2011.

Haye will today confirm he will meet Audley Harrison, 38, in a *megabucks ‘Battle of Britain’.'

The £10m fight, in Manchester on November 13, will be the biggest between two British heavyweights since Frank Bruno and Lennox Lewis locked horns in October 1993.

Haye said: “I have said from when I turned pro that I’ll retire when I’m 30, so that gives me until October 13 next year.

“It made a lot more sense when I was 17. Now that I’m closing in on 30 and there are these massive fights around the corner, 30 perhaps isn’t as old as I thought it once was. Now there are potential multi-million pound fights against anyone I want, people seem to think it’s a silly thing to do. But I’ve always stuck to my guns.”
