I'm sure you've all seen these and other statements about Haye being thrown around.

So if all this is true does that mean that Wlad's win will amount to nothing should he beat Haye?

Speaking as someone who's far from being Haye's biggest fan, it looks to me like the Klitschko fans have been intent on making it seem like Haye is nothing but a glorified bum.

Or if Wlad wins will Haye suddenly turn into a great former 2 division champion?:think

Personally I'm willing to give full credit to whoever wins.

Nope I have always agreed that Haye is a good boxer. Anybody that can unify championships at the professional level in any weight class is a very good boxer. No doubt!

But he isn't on Wladimir's level and yet he has done nothing but bad mouth the Klitschko's for 3 years. Calling their past opponents "bums". The same opponents who accomplished every bit as much as he has at heavyweight and a few who accomplished more than Haye. The guy is a douchebag and that's why a lot of people including myself don't like him or don't praise what he's accomplished as a fighter.

Also the Klits have beaten only bums. There has been noone on their level and thats the reason nobody wants to watch a Klit fight. Everyones only watching the fight now because of Haye. You wouldnt give a **** otherwise.

    Whoever wins gets full credit.

Haye is a legitimate world champion at the heavyweight division and this is a unification bout. What hating fans say means nothing, they're no the ones climbing into the ring and engaging in an actual fight, Haye and Wladimir are. Dumb people make it look like the credit goes to these screaming overweight fans so they avoid to do so.

    Haye is a good fighter..
    Been champion in 2 divisions
Have some pretty good wins at CW
Could trouble anyone with his power and speed
not really a "force" at HW
HW resume is far from impressive..
Limited boxing abillity and skills (relies on his athleticism to win)

This. Except the speed part. He's really not that fast.

To those that think that it isn't a great win for Wlad:

If Haye is highly competitive and it ends up being a very close fight that could go either way, does that make Haye go up in your estimation, or Wlad go down, or a bit of both?

I actually have to agree, Wlad is almost as fast as Haye.

If Wlad beats Haye and Haye does retire he will amount to a good win for Wlad, nothing more. This is boxing, a boxer has to be judged on his body of work not what he might have done in some bull**** hypothetical match up.
