Haye isn't fat, out-of-shape and literally the shape of a tomato can. That's why Wlad gets more credit for this.

Haye's accomplishments at heavyweight are especially impressive relative to Wlad's recent competition.

In 5 years, Haye will barely be a footnote in Wlad's story.

In terms of human interest (The princess being such a total ****, everyone wanting to see him destroyed & humiliated, etc) this fight is fascinating, but in terms of boxing importance, the fight is almost meaningless.

    - Unless of course a miracle happens, Haye gets incredibly lucky and scores a KO. but let's be serious .....

personal opinion as well. a better win than rahman definitely, i'd say (and im going to catch major gripe for this) maybe just a tad better win than chagaev.

Wlad has fought Chagaev, Chambers and Peter.

Haye has fought Valuev, Ruiz and Harrison.

How the **** is that impressive compared to Wlad's opposition? All Wlad's opponents are better than all three of Haye's.

This. Definitely one of Wlad's better wins. His career defining victory? Nonsense. Having three victories against one of the worst title holders in the last 20 years (and barely winning), an ancient John Ruiz and Audley Harrison does not make David Haye an accomplished heavyweight. If Haye hadn't done a great job at hyping this fight, people wouldn't see it as such a career defining win for Wlad.

    Haye is ridiculously overrated.

Its a very good win for Wlad should he pull it out. Same level win as Byrd and chagaev

Honestly, I concur, I give Wlad credit for a good win. But in my opinion he's supposed to win and should win big. Haye's resume is a Joke at heavyweight, he's been real selective in his opponents at heavyweight. Who WOULDN'T he look good against the guys he's fought. I think people are severely overrating Haye. In Wlad he's fighting a man with better boxing ability and excellent athleticism for a guy his size. I don't think a lot of these challengers realize it until they are in the ring and are amazed at how athletic he is. So, good opponent, that's really it.

It all depends on how Haye performes on the fightnight. He hasnt been tested properly yet which makes him a hypejob for now, but if he brings competitive fight to Wlad then it means there was 'something' behind the hype. Too bad, Haye didnt prove himself before approaching Wlad - it would be definitely less of a mismatch if he beat in a good fashion guys like povietkin, adamek or even arreola.
