Haye is probably the best of a poor bunch of heavyweight contenders. He's still a mile behind either Klit brother though. Even old Vitali will beat him down without to much difficulty.

He's undoubtedly taken an easy path at heavyweight but his speed and power make him stand out among this weak division. He's a great self promoter and brings a brashness and arrogance that appeals to certain fans who find the Klitschko's too respectful and civilised for a heavyweight champion.

Yes he's over rated by some, he wouldn't have been a serious contender during the 90's. But he did win a title, he did KO Chisora which nobody else could do and he's exciting and fun to watch.
