Haye weighs in @217 lbs vs Bonin who is 237lbs.

Weigh has a large frame at 6"3.

Bonin was ranked no:11 by WBC at the time.

I know its Bonin but gives the guys who say HAye is too small a taster,,,,,,,this dude is totally ruthless.

Haye is perfect size for a HW.

6"3 and Haye and Adam Booth say his optimal weight is gonna be 225-230.

Power and speed to crush ANY hw.

Just compare that with Fraudley's performance against Bonin, where he threw nearly no punches and got a premature stoppage in the ninth.

It was a great fight and an excellent result for Hayes real debut at heavy. Haye simply jumped on him and caught him cold. Bonin didnt know where he was.But lets be real Bonin was nothing more than a bean ready to be knocked over.Even Audley beat him in a shambolic bout.Up to that point Bonin had been fighting a steady string of beans. All he had was a nice padded record against a bunch of nobodies.

I think Bonin gets a little bit underrated here. I'd put him on a level with Robert Hawkins, Maurice Harrison, Robert Davis or Saul Montana. A good journeyman with a good record.

No-one expected Bonin to win, but we expected him to make a fight of it. After all, he was fighting a cruiserweight, and the last time we saw him he bullied and abused 6ft6 250lbs Audley Harrison. The fact that Haye destroyed him with the first jab he threw shows the kind of power than Haye can deliver.

Bonin was a former #1 ranked contender by the WBF.

I agree. The Bonin fight showed, though, that Haye can go up to 217-220 lbs and still be very svelt. After all, he's about the size of a young George Foreman or a 1970s Ali, so that's about the right weight for him. All of the 17 lbs he puts on seem to be muscle; a welcome change to Michael Moorer, Juan Carlos Gomez, James Toney etc.

 **** im ranked by the WBF WBE BBC ITV KFC whomever you want to call it. Bonin was nothing more than a decent heavy scalp as Hayes first real opponent at heavy. His record was woefully padded and any rankings with any governing bodies would have been spurious. I mean Bonins had nearly 40 fights and his last fight was against a guy who`s only had 1 win in just under 30 fights? You couldnt make that up.:patsch

Haye looks prety good. We will see how he does. I'M Not sure I trust his chin at heavyweight. I think someone like sam Peter would plow right thru him.

    If he can hit him.

On the other hand, Haye is much, much faster and has the power to shatter Peter's fragile chin.

Anything remotely glancing from Peter aswell as his famous rabbit punches would probably hurt Haye. But Haye does have the power to hurt him early and put Peter to sleep. Woudltn mind seeing this bout. But anything with Haye in has dont blink written on it as his chin just hasnt passed any tests yet.

I'm actually the CBBC number 6 contender. I'm hoping to get into an eliminator with Frankie Hines later in the year.

How is a plodder like Peter gonna land on Haye? Can you imagine how slow he's going to look when he's in the same ring as Haye? I'm sorry but Haye will have a field day with these slow, fat heavyweights, the only guys out there who will be able to compete with him are Povetkin, Solis, Gomez, Iggy and Chambers, coz they're quick. Only person who stands a real chance of beating him is Vlad Klitschko, coz he's quick AND he's got massive power. Everyone else gets demolished.

Haye KO's Peter, Maskeav, Thompson, Brewster, Rahman, Ruiz, McCline, Chagaev, Brock, Virchis and Skelton with ease. David Tua and Nicolay Valuev get shut out 120-118 due to having iron chins.
