As I said earlier in this thread, Haye will need to get rough with Wlad early and often, if he wants any chance of winning. In a boxing match Wlad wins almost everytime, he's too big and polished for Haye to beat him. Haye has to come out swinging, that means letting that "HayeMaker" of his rip. When Wlad looks to clinch, he should keep swinging and even stick his elbow on Wlad's neck. He needs to show Wlad he's not intimidated and is the tougher fighter in the ring.

Wlad has been winning his fights, because his oppenents tend to end up in a boxing match with Wlad, trying to beat him at his own game. This is not the key to victory. Haye should watch a little of Peter match, and watch how scared Wlad was when Peter got rough with him. He found himself on the canvas 3 times, and also found his himself in a few panic attacks in the face of danger. Haye is better than Peter in skills department, and is the more effective finisher. So if Haye does hurt Wlad, I think Haye will have what it takes to finish him.

It's laughable to say David Haye is far more TECHNICALLY skilled than Klitschko and that he hits harder. Firstly, Haye's power is largely unproven at Heavyweight whereas Wlad's has been proven time and again, as not just big power, but huge. As for technical skills Haye's defence is terrible, in particular his ludicrously low-hanging left hand. Wlad is a consummate textbook boxer who uses a good defense and textbook punches. Haye often swings wildly and off balance.

Haye is a better natural fighter than Wlad, who is the better boxer with more, proven power

    Spot on mate.
I'm going for Haye in this one cause I have a great belief in both David Hayes & Adam Booths ability to adjust the strategy accordingly. If you watch Hayes last few fights, he doesn't fight the same way in any of them.
With the Mormeck fight, I remember hearing/reading something about Booth counting power punches in each round and the strategy was adjusted on the fly.
Obviously Wlad isn't Mormeck, but I like the Haye camps approach to fighting their opponent.

I must agree with this, but Haye's not only more natural but much more charismatic. He seem to have brought the heavy to life again, i pray for a Haye KO over Wlad, yes i pray, he will need it ;)

Is that all? That strategy hasn't worked for any of Wlad's latest victims has it? If only Haye could fly...................

Oh, and you're touching yourself if you really believe Haye is more talented, better skilled or hits harder than Wlad. :D

I want Haye to win as much as you do, but I'm also very realistic when it comes to picking oppenents over Wlad. Which I only did twice since I began watching him in the early 2000's. Only Peter and Brewster the first time did I ever favor over Wlad, needless to say, Brewster was the last man to beat Wlad in April of 04 and Peter was the last man to give Wlad a tough and floor him several times in September of 05.

That being said, Haye is Wlad's toughest oppenent since Peter. Haye's combintaion of power and speed may give Wlad trouble early, but if this match goes past 5 I'm going to have to favor Wlad by knockout in the middle rounds, either the 6th or 7th round is where he will finish Haye off.

    I'll answer the question MIckeyblueballz:

Yes, I believe Wladimir has talent that far outweighs his sheer size. He also has the discipline & dedication to compete at the highest level. Take Valuev for example, if size were the "end all" he'd be undefeated & KO everybody.

To put it as simply as you did just shows you're a tool. Quite in fact David Haye has enjoyed a significant size advantage when he fought at Cruiserweight, are you saying that's the only reason he won?

I'm personally hoping for an early highlight reel KO where Haye doesn't beat the count. A serious "one & done" KO for Bunce & friends to cry over.......................

Which is to say it's been 4 or 5 years of total domination.

Your getting your knickers in a twist, dont get me wrong i believe Wlad is a very talented fighter but what makes him that extra bit special is his sheer size advantage.

If he was to meet Haye and they were the same height imo Haye wins everytime, but because of the size difference it means Wlad can hit and grab like he always does, if they were the same size Haye could push him of easily.

To your question about Haye as Cruiserweight yes it should of been a massive advantage however he tended to just go to war and give excitement instead of using his very effective but too rarely used jab like ala Klitshcko and gave up that advantage.

As for valuev, his size is the only reason he has got anywhere, if he were smaller we would never of heard of him full stop :deal

Yes, you would be right. Though one must look at the landscape of the heavyweight division as well, one that has not been strong for nearly 10 years now. I understand Wlad is doing his best by laying waste to most of the division, but how many of these fighters will ever be remembered 10, 15 years from now? Maybe Bryd or Mercer, neither of which will find their way into the boxing hall of fame. Not to mention, Wlad fought the 02 version of Mercer, not the prime Mercer of 93-96.
