Byrd applied the right tactic but lacked the tools to back it up, he couldn't take Wladimir's punch and didn't have power to perfect the style so he got starched. Brock also tried but Wladimir just overpowered him.

Wladimir isn't impossible to beat, the weaknesses are right there, a good enough opponent is just lacking.

Dont get me wrong, I think that Haye is an elite fighter as well, but this time its not enzo, Mormeck or Barrett he is fighting.

His speed is very good, but remember that the distance to reach Klitschkos chin is about 3 " more than vs. every of his previous opponents. 3" is a lot in boxing, esp. when you fight a fighter who has a russian, upright, leaning back style as basics..... So IMO Hayes speed advantage will be neutralized by Klitschkos height, foot movement and upperbody- and head reflexes.

I cannot see Haye landing flush on Klitschko. But I can see Klitschko landing flush on Haye, because Haye is still too open at some times.

Fair enough. I have my reasons for believing Haye will win this, but you make fair points.

remember something about Haye, though, his history suggests he struggles against squat fighters who bulldoze him, rather than taller jabbers.

WK is obviously far better than any fighter like that, though.

And Enzo should never have been in a ring with Haye, I said that for years beforehand.

He has fought a faded Byrd, a severly faded Rahman, and a faded Brewster that wasn't too good to begin with, the only decent guy he fought was Brock.

At least he's preparing with the right gameplan and adapting his style given that he is much smaller. If he can follow the plan, the plan could possibly work.

Hard to read into it. It might just be the training camp mentality. He has to drop some of the bravado and respect his opponent in order to properly prepare for him. Doesn't mean that he's less confident.

I think that Haye has got enough balls to go for broke against WK. However it may not have enough of an effect. WK's chin may surprise us. After all WK took some Sam Peter shots just fine, others not.

The danger in Haye is that he might be able to hit Wlad with a shot that he doesn't see coming - unlike Sam Peter

... well I guess it's hard to see a rabbit punch coming :yep

I can't wait to see David Haye fighting like Mike Tyson. Haye has everything needed to fight an agrressive offensive style like Tyson/ Brewster/ Tua.

I ****ing love Haye. And I thought initially that he would win this fight.

But the more and more I think about it, the more my head overrules my heart.

I just don't think David has the defence, chin or speed necessary to slay the giant that is Wlad.

I don't like the way Wlad fights (in fact, I detest it) and I don't rate him at all in an ATG sense (although Wlad is technically better, Vitali is still a more effective fighter all round, and Lennox would utterly decimate Wlad), but the man does know how to use his physical advantages and how to box.

It will be horrible to see, but I think David will get knocked out. Badly. Mid-rounds wipeout.

The guy is too brave for his own good. A credit to boxing.

If we compare Haye and Ibragimov, they both were top class amateur and very skilled. Their speed is about same or Ibragimov has little better. Haye is quite much stronger puncher, taller with more reach. Only clear advantage to Ibragimov is chin..Hayes chin is very vulnerable, if Lolenga Mock can do damage, what you think wlad can do?

Nobody can fight like Mike Tyson except for Mike Tyson. It is not going to happen.

David Haye is going to look like a combination of Mike Tyson and Ray Mercer. He is going to bring a very aggressive style. Haye has everything fiqured out. We'll all see how this style works out for him.

Haye is very stiff kinda comparable to Shane Mosley ... he's going to get knocked out ...

He doesn't have the chin of Lamon Brewster or the Punch or size of Corrie Sanders and he doesn't have the work rate or the stamina looking to out work or out last Klitshcko.

reality is creeping into the psyche of mr. haye. slowly gradually he is beginning to realize and accept what he is dealing with. One of the most destructive and dominant HWT champions in history.

haye saw the look of death in the eyes of Klitschko at the press conferences. the fight is already over, June 20 is just a formality. It will be the awesome annihilation of haye who will try to throw a few crazy but impotent bombs like Kirk Johnson.
