Idealistically, yes. But for the majority of the time fighters tend to take the path of least resistance.

Haye may or may not be all that, but he's got people talking and there is a buzz of excitement in the division again.
How can that not be a good thing?

That´s nonsense and you know it, you just won´t admit that Vitaly is the better of the two cuz you´re in love with Wlad. Wlad maybe the more stylish boxer of the two brothers, but he lacks the toughness of Vitaly. That will always make Vitaly the better fighter. And both brothers know that, that´s the reason why they try to get Vitaly in front of Haye first. Wlad-Haye would be a 50/50 fight, whereas Vitaly is something like 80/20 favourite. Unlike Wlad Vitaly is not going down as soon as someone lands a clean punch on him. If i were Haye i would try a Wlad-fight first, much better chance of winning. It speaks for Haye´s confidence though, that he wants to take on Vitaly first.

not when it's Wladamir we're talking about

anyone with good HW hand speed and KO power has a very good chance of putting Wlad lights out....

and Wlads not a skilled boxer...he's a predictable boxer, he's a HW version of Kelly Pavlik, everything he does is based off his jab

Haye has good enough reflexes to slip his jab time and time again

and all it'll take is a "slip & counter" to put Wlad right on his ass, if not to sleep.....stylistically Haye would cause much more problems for Wlad, then Wlad would for Haye

Haye's weakest against pressure, not boxers.....and specially not a fighter as predictable as Wlad

    Haye KO inside of 5

These are my thoughts exactly. The accepted wisdom seems to be that Vitali is the tougher fight but the truth of the matter is we don't know how good Vitali is physically....it may be that when put under severe pressure the wheels will just fall off.

True, that means Haye has had four fights against heavyweights. He's 4-0 (4) against boxers over 200 lbs.

Hayemaker is on Setanta on Bunces boxing hour and his manager says the Klitschkos have offered Vitali for a fight in London next summer.

Booth also saying that basically Wladamir is ducking the fight or Vitali is trying to save him from a beating.

Wlad needs to grow some balls :x

Haye has no chance against Vitali Klitscko.

Wlad he could catch with a good shot and maybe get him out of there but he does not have a prayer against Vitali.

Exactly. **** fighting Vitali first, that's HORRIBLE. I don't think he needs iggy or someone either. Get the strap from Valuev/Holyfield then take Wvlad. Haye vs. Wvlad would be really interesting and if Haye can pull that off the fight with Vitali will be bombass.

And of course, IT'LL BE LIKE A SCENE FROM THE MATRIX!!!!!111ONE

I think he stands a chance provided he sticks to his game plan and uses his speed to get in, hit him and then get out. He could make Vitali look silly as he has definately slowed in the 4 years he was out.

Trouble is i think Haye wont be able to resist slugging it out at some point and when he does it will more than likely result in Haye getting ko'd.

But he is capable of winning if he sticks to the game plan, no doubt in my mind about that.

it is easier said then done. Haye will need much more than speed to win. The size difference alone is going to be hard to overcome. He is going to continually eat jabs and that slapping hook when he tries to come inside.

I give Haye full credit for taking a dangerous fight like this some of the other Heavyweights could learn from him.

I know what you mean but seeing them together i was suprised in the little difference in height, thought it would be much worse.

He looked slow in his last fight compared to usual. I think he needs to stay around 210, but at cruiser he was very fast compared to most.

He will need his speed for sure in order to fight Vitali successfully. Vitali is an awesome fighter, but if anything is average or below average about him, it's his handspeed.

totally agree. While a lot of people were on his nuts I've never been even remotely impressed by Peter. His power, chin and skill are bred out of pure hype from him beating up the current crop of overweight cruisers. Vitali while impressive for a man with 4 years out looked slower than a battleship in both hand and foot.

Haye's reach isn't much smaller and it's not out of the question that he could get a UD by using his speed and boxing him. While I still think Vitali catches him and ends his night at some point, I still think the bigger brother is the better option style wise. Wlad may fight scared, but hits almost as hard and is infinitely quicker in both hand and foot. Kudos to Haye, he's got balls and is the type of fighter everyone on ESB respect, he wants the toughest challenges so to me it makes a bit of a mockery of this forum when people think he should be shying away from the Klits... damned if you do, damned if you dont.
