What major US Network would it be on? Epix is about as good as they could get for that and it is in very few US Households I can't even get it through my cable provider. And to suggest that fight would be on PPV in the US?:lol::lol::lol::rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

It would tank. American Boxing fans are not going to buy that fight. Sorry. To think so is delusional. The money for that fight would come from the UK PPV Haye would bring and the ticket sales and TV deal the Klitschko's have in Germany. Anyone other than hardcore Boxing fans in the US are not going to give a ****. Ask people on the street who David Haye is in America and they won't have a clue.

Accomplishments: I think Vitali, Povetkin and Adamek are above Haye at HW. But in terms of current ability...Haye is faster than all those guys, he hits harder too. Id rank him #2.5 with Vitali in H2H.

Hardcore fans are those who carry the sport, I am not saying it will be a blockbuster PPV event, what I am saying is Vitali likely makes more money in this fight than he does in any other fight out there right now.

There is simply nobody out there today for him to fight and draw interest

I agree and I would like for HBO or Showtime to cover the fight but it isn't going to happen. I don't have interest in seeing the fight but I am a fan and if Boxing is on tv I watch it no matter how bad I have sat through much worse.

Looks like we might be getting Vitali-Fury in March or April which would essentially be Vitali giving the middle finger to Haye and trolling him at the same time. Time will tell I would think Vitali will have one more fight for one last retirement check.

its not Vitali giving Haye the middle finger its Vitali giving his own fans the middle finger his own fans want to see this fight, Vitalis fans want to see Vitali shut this man up.

its as if his fans have more confidence in him than he does....:verysad a fight with Tyson Fury who is un proven and has done squat doesnt do a damn thing for Vitali or his fans

And if Vitali does indeed plan on Retiring he should man up as Lennox Lewis did and take the biggest challenge thats out there, he owes that much to his fans

All you're doing is letting your dislike for someone make you post a load of nonsense, which is a shame because usually we agree and I enjoy your posts.

Haye has pulled out of one contracted fight in his entire career, when the channel who were due to pay him went bust and meant a) they wouldn't be showing the fight on tv at all b) he would be fighting Wlad for basically £0.

As for the other nonsense you talk about, putting on a dull fight etc - do you think Wlad gave a **** about how Haye fought when that fight sold out the stadium, sold great on PPV and gave him his career high payday? Of course not. They will class the event as an unmitigated success. It's also fun to imagine that he be audacious enough to care given some of the performances he's turned in over the years, i.e getting hyped to **** by HBO, getting a unification fight at MSG and then stinking out the joint until the crowd boo the action and leave early. But how soon we forget . .

Do you think Vitali will care how Haye fights in the ring against him once they've sold out the arena and sold a **** ton of PPVs? If anything, I think he'd probably be hoping the cautious and defensive minded Haye turns up - easier nights work for him.

The actual facts are that if Haye signs the contract, then bar ONE incident in his entire career he is going to turn up in better fighting shape than 99.9% of the HWs in the division. Not just that, but he's going to bust his ass to sell the fight better than just about any fighter, generating more PPV buys and more media interest than just about any fighter out there, ultimately meaning more £$£$£ for both fighters. That to me seems like a promoters dream, rather than its worst nightmare.

But if you want to dwell on the one pull out of his entire career as some kind of signal that he's the most unreliable fighter in the sport (despite Wlad pulling out of and delaying at least 3 contracted fights in the last year) then go ahead.

I think if you manage to stop dwelling on irrelevant things that individual posters have said in other threads, and stop trying to crowbar them into this one where they clearly have no place you might enjoy the conversation a little more.

No one in this thread has said Haye is a future HOF HW, and not one poster here has said they rank him above Vitali so why you feel the need to keep bringing up some things some stupid individuals have said in other threads is beyond me.

Gaye is one good win away from a rematch with Wlad and he calls out the faded 40-something brother.

If this fight gets made and Haye beats Vitali he better not call himself the champ.

nobody wants to see a boring fight, like haye valuev or wlad haye. iam sure it goes the same way. hbo bans haye because of his poor performance.

fury is a real HW, a real fighter. haye is a blown up cruiser and a runner. haye should sign the contract, otherwise **** off little biaaaaatch. :deal

Of course, but Americans are notoriously insular when it comes to sports, so that's no surprise. In Europe it'd be a huge fight, it would sell great on PPV and it would generate a **** ton of cash. Whether or not an American network would bother to pay a nominal fee for the broadcast rights is largely irrelevant here.

It's like Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao are the biggest names in world boxing, yet the rights for their fights in this country are bought for very cheap and the majority of their fights are shown on the basic sports channels with no PPV. Very few fights have true global interest of a PPv scale - it's all about different markets.

Why do you rate Haye so highly? Honest question.
