I agree with you completely in this regard. He can be exciting, but his history has shown that when he fights the much bigger guys (Valuev and Wlad) he changes his style and its dull. I wouldn't say it's necessarily the 'top competition' though, because at CW he never adopted that cautious style even against the top guy Mormeck.

And again, I agree it would be great if he fought regularly, but he doesn't and there's not a lot that can be done by that. But I still feel that a match up with Vitali is most intriguing of any potential title defence he can make.

I don't know what he made, I know he owes the IRS a mint and is technically bankrupt. The HW scene in the US doesn't exist as we knew it, there is your reason Wlad doesn't make the dough out West, nothing to do with his style. He might be cautious but he still knocks people out which is more than Larry Holmes and Ali did half the time.
