It is hilarious how Haye has Conned the British Public. They would literally empty their bank accounts for him if he asked. Haye is like a British version of Bernie Madoff :lol::lol::rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

Not sure how Haye gets Brits to open up their wallets but it is what it is.

    Nothing wrong with this.

Vitali Klitschko is fighting for money too.

Vitali says he wants to fight David Haye. Now he should fight him or retire.

It's not just Haye, it's pretty much any fighter who gets on Sky PPV, regardless of who they are fighting - but Haye certainly puts in the hours when it comes to PR and advertising.

Sky is the biggest TV company in the country, and obviously has ties with the other News Corporation outlets in the country. It's not one subscription channel like They run a massively popular sports news channel that in the build up to the fight will cover the fight on an hourly basis for 24 hours a day, showing interviews with the fighters, ex pros and pundits talking about how even the fight is, select highlights of both fighters and and press conferences etc. They show adverts for the fights on pretty much every one of their channels, especially during hugely popular football matches etc, the news papers cover the fights on the sports pages daily, there are billboards everywhere. Basically they have the might of the countries most popular television networks, newspaper sand internet outlets talking about the fight on a daily basis.

When there is a fight on Sky PPV I'll have all kinds of people who know nothing about boxing suddenly wanting to talk about the fight with me, asking me where I'm watching it etc. Khan was pulling in viewers on PPV when he was a novice fighting against unknowns like Presscot!

Not just this, but when Haye fights he gets himself on pretty much every television chat show going. In the build up to his fights he will appear on the most popular network TV chat shows with audiences of 10+ million people etc. He really gets his name out there amongst all different audiences at all different times of day, talks the trash to people who don't know any better and gets them interested in his fight.

So what happens is after not being able to escape the blanket media coverage, and after talking about the fight for 2 weeks at work and with friends, people who don't watch boxing decide that instead of going down the pub and spending the $80+ that night they'll have friends round, get some beers in and book the fight for a few quid each and save some money.

As an aside, take that jungle TV show Haye was in recently. That is the most watched thing on TV in the country for 3 weeks, pulling in 12 million viewers a night, the majority of whom would have never seen him fight before. He was voted for by the public on a daily basis and kept in and eventually finished 3rd. If only a fraction of these people buy his next fight it's a load more money in his (and his opponent's bank).

Come on man, if you're going to do some trolling and joking you can at least make it a bit fun and original. I have faith in you!

I guess I understand but can't relate personally. I'm fairly critical and don't need other people and media forming my opinions for me I guess.

But that's because you know about boxing. You know a **** fight when you see it, as do most fans. The majority of people buying these PPV fights know nothing about boxing and buy into the hype and what they're told by the media and buy it as an alternative to a night out.

Sky have pulled out of PPV boxing now, and I get the impression they won't be doing it again unless Haye fights Vitali.

I don't know this for sure, but that's my theory - hence the Vitali or nothing approach. You know Haye, no way he fights unless there's £££ on the table.

Beating overrated Haye does nothing for V's career at all.
