actually his choice was step up to hw or fight enzo in a big domestic fight. no-one gave a crap about cunningham. so...you think chisora would improve his "terrible heavyweight resume"? i thought people criticised him for not wanting to take on the tough fights...but now people are saying (when he is chasing those tough fights) he should take on some lesser fighters instead? :huh
well if vitali is old and bad as he can be and haye shouldnt fight a guy that age then he needs to release his wbc belt cant have it both ways
We all knew this anyway, pointless thread. Haye Vitali is the best HW fight around, it's great news that he is willing to fight Vitali and Vitali seems to want it. Boente on the otherhand....
He already *retired*once, and yet here he is again, begging for another big payday. This guy's *retirement* talk is so shallow and transparent. Eveyrone who hears it either laughs or rolls their eyes. Haye will NOT retire if Vitlai fights someone else next. Haye will be at whatever press conference VItali holds after that fight, trying to hype himself into a fight with EITHER brother, all over again. Count on it. Haye ain't going anywhere. His ego won't let him walk away from the attention, fame, money, ego caressing, etc.
As much as Haye's been a **** I want this match, there's ****ing nobody else out there that comes close to Haye. Look at the boards when he was active, say what you want but he got people talking and is far better than the rest imo.
Agree. Haye is light years ahead of all the rest, as far as being a threat to the K Bros. They steemroll everyone else. But with Haye's speed and power, everyone would be watching on the edge fo their seat. Sure, he stayed away most of the time last fight with Wlad, but proved to be the hardest guy to hit Wlad ever faced (next to Byrd, if not as slick as Byrd) and Haye's handspeed and power speak for themselves. A Klit fight with Helenius, Povetkin or Arreola.................(yawn) But a Haye fight with either one.................THAT is still the biggest draw, hands down.
Would be really interesting to see Haye in there with Chisora first. A dominating win and the Vitali fight becomes relevant. Right now, no thanks. I'll watch anyway, but you know what I mean :yep
When you're a boxing A-Lister like Haye the Heavyweight Champ calls YOU out. Vitali can't keep Haye's name out his mouth, Vitali is chasing after a man in retirement. The only person who doesnt want this fight is Berndt Boente
Yeah Haye what ever, like it's really hard for you to earn one of the 3 that's right 3 mandatory positions to get a shot at either Klitschko. I'm still amazed that the cult of Haye devotees still don't get it. Haye is terrified of being exposed by any half decent top 20 boxer who's in his prime, this was also true at CW for Haye.
Answer this common sense question: Why work your way into mandatory position if the champ is calling you out and saying he wants to fight you?
Is he really though? Every time a camera crew from Sky or Boxnation are interviewing Vitali inevitably they will ask him about a future bout with Haye, it makes sense that the only answer Vitali gives will basically be "yeah i'll fight him and KO him". Even if K2 do actually want the fight I think Vitali's next fight is going to have to be a mandatory anyway unless he throws his belt in the bin.
