The Purrity fight was 10 years ago...Wlad was inexperienced and had never fought past 6 rounds....He beat the living **** out of Purrity for 11 rounds and he punched himself out and ran out gas.

Wlad was NEVER even knocked down in the Brewster fight...He collapsed from fatigue after the 5th round....I wouldnt be suprise if Wlad was poisoned or drugged in that fight.

Wlad got his revenge and destroyed Brewster in the rematch.

Well actually it is in his contract with Setanta Sports(tv company) that Haye must fight an opponent who is ranked in the top 10 by at least one of WBA/WBC/IBF/WBO sanctioning organisations . So unless Barrett moves into a top 10 position it aint going to happen .

Barret was ranked 37th by the WBC and no on else .
Fields was ranked 38th by the WBC and no one else .

Barret won't make the WBC top 10 off that win alone and I suspect if he is to enter any of the other rankings it will be blow #10 .

So basically Barret is going to have to at least get another win before he could get a Haye fight .


Where is the source for this happening anyway, cause all we have at the moment is the original poster saying so .
