Haye says he broke his nose, jaw, and peripheral eardrums.

Is this true? The nose bit seemed pretty accurate watching but if this is true than Ruiz is one tough SOB. I heard nothing of this but from Haye on this talkshow.

    Check 5 minutes in.

thats what happens when a guy fights an elite fighter, when he really has no business being in the ring with him, considering his inactivity, age and **** level fights he has won ....ruiz had won 3 fights in 6 years and the opponents combined for 36 losses.
and you wonder why people are shocked he took an ass kicking

An ass-kicking is one thing but didn't know Haye was breaking his face like that. And Ruiz kept pushing forward.

He finally was, but not on the right moment of his career...
Ruiz shouldn't have been in the same ring as Haye in the first place, but we all know the WBA.

C'mon even if you hate him, you can't take that away from Ruiz. He deserve some credit for his not so bad showing in his last fight.

He deserves credit for much more. He never ducked anyone, was willing to fight everybody, always came in decent to good shape, always gave his best, was always class outside of the ring. That´s more than most contenders do nowadays.

Yes it is. I read it online the day after the fight.

Ruiz was all busted up and kept coming till the stoppage.

Yeah credit to ruiz, i wouldnt go in and be a punch bag for haye, i'd of took a jab gone dwn and took the money, ruiz is a tough *******, but unfortunately its guys like him who get remembered for having brain damage when they retire, i hope this does not happen to him

I don't think it will. Have you heard pernell whitaker speak lately? The thing about brain damage is that some guys are just tough SOBs and can take this **** and some people aren't. Just looking at the guy he seems like the type that should age well. He seems like he has a Duran/chevalo type build. Both those guys were in wars and years later they still don't really show any affects.

Holyfield broke the hell out of Ruiz's nose in their last fight, so the nose has been screwed up for years.
