I am a 100% brittard. Always will be.
However, any chance Haye and fury got wind of the vitali situation? It would make perfect sense! Especially financially

We don't know. I don't think so as I think Haye is heavily favoured from a stylistic point of view in that fight but it's pretty bad nevertheless. He just seems way too fragile in sparring for a pro boxer.

Fragile or not with the WBC now on the line... Any
    chance it was a smokescreen?

So you actually hope he faked the injury so he might get an easy shot at the vacant belt? :blood

If his injury suddenly magically heals, don't you think the Furys will sue him blind?

There is a chance, obviously. We just don't know. Although speculating that Vitali retires in order to go for the vacant title seems like a long shot.
Given that Haye stepped in the ring with Valuev, Wlad and Chisora, I don't see why he would be so terribly afraid of Fury though, especially when his style is suited to beat him comfortably. He could've had Fury's scalp + battled for the WBC belt.
