Something Peter & Tyson Fury said a year ago has stuck in my mind...."he had to retire from boxing completely because of his shoulder, went missing for 4 years, now he needs the money he suddenly comes out of retirement" add that to the fact hes fought two opponents who can barely be classed as punchbags and fighting Bellew instead of for the HW title, i dont think his shoulder is recovered & he's just looking to make money the easiest way and then leave. wouldn't surprise me at all if he pulled out this fight.

Haye retired when there was little to be had from the heavyweight division.
Since then we've seen it become far more credible with potential for some mega fights, he's coming back at the right time in that regard.

It definitely was a brutal injury for an athlete, I've had similar and for him to to comeback after a complete shoulder rehabilitation is impressive in itself.

Remains to be seen if and how it effects him but its one of those things that you can't hide from, it would have surfaced in sparring and I'd be surprised if Shane would have agreed to train him had the injury hampered him that badly.

He's probably okay because he's only training for 1 or 2 round fights.
He doesn't have to put in a proper volume of training. He isn't doing a full "training camp".

If you're waiting for him to step in with an athlete you can extend him 5 or 6 rounds or more, you'll be waiting a long time.
He might cash himself out in a HUGE fight with Joshua for a massive retirement package, but he's not going to test himself until then.

If the press conference is anything to go by, he won't need his right against boss lad Bellew... he knows he can land his left...

Haye has another 4 round fight against Bellew making millions of pounds out of it.

If he invests wisely then he has no issues with money. However as we know, he has lost all his money and is being divorced by his wife, so he will be fighting on after this for another 2 years

Haye is as relevant as Briggs. At least Briggs brings personality.

This is gonna sound ridiculous but...a couple of million quid isn't that much if you live an extravagant lifestyle. Obviously, people on here might invest in property and live off the fat from that. Haye will be used to more expensive tastes. My point is, it's all relative.

I dont get where hayes moneys went. Bearing in mind he made a decent wedge in his career. Divorce or no divorce he should still be relatively well off. Surprises me that he never really fires back when people accuse him of being skint. He maybe is but wheres the money went. Surely hes not been dumb enough to invest it all in the same failed venture. Always amazes me when guys with millions how they keep trying to invest it in these we ll take your million and give you back 5 unless something goes wrong and you end up with nothing schemes.

Just keep the million. Contrary to what everyone tells you...you dont need to invest it in something. Got to be talking about 10 to 15 million throughtout his career...maybe more.

Anyway i actually think hayes hungry. It isnt just about the money the comeback. I dont think its ever been about the money for haye imo contrary to what people believe a lot of it is ego with him. His big problem atm is hes on the outside looking in by trying to do a mayweather in terms of promoting himself. The problem is british boxings pretty much monopolised by eddie hearn atm. He ll still get there tho...because essentialy hes still a very good fighter and he sells because he has pretty much everything the public are looking for in a heavyweight. Big power. Speed. Can talk. Mostly exciting fights. Ko power. Etc etc.

All these accusations about haye can be attributed to that problem...hes on the outside looking in. The two guys hes fought are the standard he can afford to bring across...bearing in mind atm he cant offer big money with no ppv etc. The bellew fights kind of been forced upon him...cause guys are pricing themselves out the market. Honestly think hearns making a mistake offering him a bone tho. Be better keeping him out in the cold cause hes gonna end up knocking out eddies main man joshua. I ve said it before. Haye will hurt him and finish him. Joshuas very well drilled but hes an average boxer. Great athlete tho. Haye will walk him into traps to the stage joshua wont know what to do. Joshuas footworks not good enough for haye who has one of the best if not the best feetwork in the division with fury gone. And klitchko slowing down. You dont need good looking footwork for it to be good footwork. One of the biggest flaws in joshuas game...thats why hes fighting guys with even slower footwork than he has. He ll knock them out all day.

Haye will get drowned by guys that drag him into a long fight is the most likely outcome but joshua wont even drag him late. Haye will take him out within four or five rounds maybe even earlier. First time haye connects properly watch everything start to betray joshua. If he does get hurt he ll try to fight back instead of trying to difuse it. Hes too predictable for haye. Footworks too slow. His big arms start to drop sometimes as soon as the second round. The problem with that is he doesnt have the footwork to get out the way.

Joshua will be too much for a lot in that division cause hes a tremendous athlete. But haye wont be one of them.

You have no idea if Haye still has the tools anymore. He's not a young lad anymore & he's been inactive.

What i m saying is haye wont need the full set of tools to beat joshua. Heres why...joshuas footwork speed going forwards not actually too bad. Its when he throws he cant retreat quick enough. Its like hes stuck in quicksand. You stand in their with haye unable to back off quick enough your gonna end up in trouble. Dillon whyte caught him with it all night and dillons not the fastest guy out there.

His feet are too slow. Klitchko retreated quickly anytime haye went to go forward throwing punches...cause he knew haye was a dangerous guy. Joshua wont be able to retreat quick enough.

Its heavyweight boxing and joshua is a powerhouse. Hes dangerous to anyone. Can joshua knock haye out in one...yes because he can hurt anyone. But to me the smart money goes on haye the foot speed is only one of the reasons. If he doesnt get guys out in the first two rounds...joshua then becomes a target. Wouldnt surprise me if molina tests him. Pretty sure molina caught wilder because he didnt get out there quick enough. If he can stand up to josh,s onslaught which i doubt because his feet are too slow himself to get out the way...look out for what i m saying.
