Acording to WBO and WBA he is :deal

 

haye is killing any chance at a new fan base right now with all this ****. i'm so tired of hearing about all the **** he says i don't even really want to see him fight anymore. i was intriged at first but now he's just a loud mouthed sideshow

 

How pathetic is Haye when he can't even handpick an opponent? :rofl This is going to end bad for him and his Glass Jaw.

 

How do you come up with 300.000 $? It's a 140.000 $ not 140.000 £. This actually IS a ridiculous amount of money for a top ranked opponent especially when he's expected to fight abroad.

 

Who cares about Chapman? This is ridiculous, Chapman doesn't deserve to be there in the first place. We, the fans, want to see him taking on a real thread like Toney, Chambers, Arreloa etc. Low key figures like 140.000 $ will certainly not lure ANY of the bigger names in the ring with him.

No problem, actually it's even worse, Team Haye seems to have started negotiations with an offer of 100.000 $, which was later increased by 40.000 $, source: "the scene of boxing"

 

I must admit this HW matchmaking thing has turned into a soap opera, but totally agree with the above, Haye has in the past always taken on the challenge.
So i think him at HW it will be no different.

The Blade is not questioning Hayes resume, he's just voicing what everyone thinks: Haye is making a fool of himself, by having claimed to clean out the HW division like he's the best HW to ever have boxed and now not even finding a mediocre opponent... and it's not because everyone's ducking him, no, it's because he and his team are offering lousy 100.000-140.000 $ to get a name fighter to travel to his backyard. Not even 'nobodys' in the division like Chapman take such a deal. Him even considering fighters like Chapman or Johnson is ridiculous, after all the talking he's done. To me it's like a strategy from team Haye: they offer such lousy money so that every credible opponent turns the offer down, and then he's fighting a bum claiming everybody is ducking him... it's simple: if Haye offers guys like Barrett or Chambers, or even Toney or Rahman a fair deal, they will travel to the UK and take the fight. And he would have a credible opponent against which he could prove something if he beats them.

There's no problem with Haye wanting an easy tune-up for his second fight at HW, but he should just have kept his mouth shut...

Wlad is going to have to fight him though no matter who Haye fights, Haye has called him out and Haye brings in more money than almost every other HW contender out there so this fight will happen regardless if Haye fights Danny Williams and Butterbean in his next 2 fights, all it takes in 1 Hayemaker against Wlad and we have a new #1

 

Yeah but Haye's not the great HW he claims to be, or that his (mostly british) fans want him to be, regardless of his solid CW pedigree...
It only takes 1 Hayemaker? Let's put it this way, it only takes one big right hand or one good left hook by Wlad to put Haye down. I think even Wlad has a better chin than Haye, at least Wlad got knocked down by legitimate HWs. And Wlad got a bigger punch than Haye too.
Let Haye beat a credible HW first, and I don't mean JD Chapman by that, and then I'll make my opinion if he has a chance to beat Wlad or not...

 

What has Haye so far achieved at HW besides fighting a bum called Bonin? His CW credentials don't mean **** when you go up to HW. Take a close look at all the former cruiser champs (Cole, Jirov, Norris etc. who all badly failed at HW) before boasting Haye's record...

BTW, Poevetkin has only 16 outings as a professional and has a way better resume than Haye especially when you are considering his next opponent: Wlad!
