No not just for what he did to Enzo but actually for his whole career as a Cruiserweight. Took on all comers and came out as top dog. If Enzo was a bum then he dealt with him they way he should have. He dealt with Mormeck in a manner no one else had.
Jirov was a tough son of a gun but less talented than Haye. As for Mormeck yes he lost to and then beat O'Neill Bell. The fact is Mormeck was the combined WBC and WBA champion highly respected with Haye the underdog. He did it the old fashion way by stopping the champion in his hometown. Toney is an all time great fighter he just was not at Cruiserweight for long. Time will tell whether Haye is a great fighter but you have to admire his attitude
Exciting fighter. Very unprofessional attitude. Nothing to admire about the attitude unless one likes loudmouths.
Oh yeah, if Haye makes business its ok, if the Klitschkos make business they are crooks, a shame, ****s, wankers and twats...
Jirov ruled the division for several years and pretty much fought who was who of cruisers... Its not even comparable he lost what once at Cruiser and that was to an atg who may have been juiced for the fight.. toney was a cruiser for a few years.. also haye has not beaten anyone good in his prime so its hard to gauge his talent fighting washed up fighters and never has been's.. If you compare there body of work Jirov has fought by far the better comp and was a much more dominant champ then Haye.. How was mormeck highly respected? by who he was washed up matter of factly he retired after that fight? So is that his crowning achievement that his overwhelming talent is based off of is a retiring faded fighter.. couldnt of been mock .. a SMW who put haye on ***** street.. Do you think jirov would of went down against him and have to wrestle him to the ground to avoid the KO?:deal... Also why should i admire his attitude so far all he has proven is he can talk shitt but wont back it up.
I don't give a damn whether a guy is a loudmouth or a saint frankly the key consideration can they fight. Haye can and he puts bums on seats.
Haye has let everyone down. it's like the gunfighter who walks into the saloon and challenges the best shooter in the place to a duel. After a momentary pause of stunned silence, suddenoy the best gun in the house gets up and walks toward the brash challenger. The big mouth take one look at the guy and bolts out the door, and out of town, never to be seen or heard from again. THat's what Haye did, he got his TWO chances to fight the best and ran his ass out of town. Frankly, if you can see through the back injury and contract complaints (which he signed) haye ran out from the confrontation he initiated - like a coward.
Not a chance he might eek by Valuev but no chance he beats the Wlad,Vitali, why do you think hes ducking them? he knows his chance at a belt is 0 against the brothers.
Haye might actually get a decision vs. Valuev if the powers want it. If the powers want to install Haye as their new anti Klitschko. valuev as we all know has ZERO chance vs. either Klitschko. Haye also has zero chance btu can run his mouth and can fool and deceive a lot more people than Valuev can. they might set it up for Haye to win. and then of course avoid either Klitschko, but falsely accuse the Klitschkos of ducking him.
An idiot he may be, but he's still fighting for a world title at heavyweight in only his second real fight at the weight. It's not something that is done often.
I have no problem with the Valuev fight. Either way it gets rid of one of them. If Haye loses this fight he is out of the Heavyweight picture for a long time. I think for a Valuev fight we might be mildly entertained for this one it all depends on which Valuev shows up.
I think that is EXACTLY what the powers at WBA want (Don King) look how the WBA has stripped Chagaev (i thought there was to be a hearing) then out of magic, Haye becomes ranked by them. Its all a joke because even if Haye wins, he will have to deal with Chagaev, Ruiz, and probably Valuev again etc etc etc. Klitschko will be WAY down the line, if at all
Haye can fight like Holyfield did against Lewis in MSG, like boxing safely as if he knew if he lasted 12 he'd not lose his title. This is a possibility. Haye is a lot more marketable than Valuev, look for Haye to get the "W" over Valuev. Haye can then act like Mayweather, talk big, talk **** about the best, but then rely on protection from his pawnmasters, who let him fight nothing but handpicks and setups.
TFFP I agree with most of what you have written other than I don't think Haye is an idiot at all. Do you really believe their are grounds for this comment. I think he was genuinely injured and would have fought either Klitshko but that by beating Valuev he brings more to the table. I also think the contract the Ukrainean brothers wanted him to sign showed that there was a lack of certainty on their part that they believed they would win.
