You can take warm ups when you're on top of the heap, but when you're still climbing and trying to prove your HW credentials there's no way to go but up, by taking on the top available fighters. Besides, I thought Bonin, Barrett and Ruiz were warm ups.

Nice analogy. Fruit flies die within what three weeks? David Haye has had 2 fights in 2 years. Sorry, but even Job wouldn't have the patience to remain a Haye fan.

He can only get credit for a Klitshcko or Adamek now....anything less would not be accepted.

Chagaev or Meehan wont matter, Haye will knock either one of them out. I like the guy because he brings some excitement into the heavyweight division. I hope he KO's both Klitchsko brothers.

Well the problem is that the HW is limited in regards to competition, thus good accomplishments are hard to come by. People treat Haye as some elite fighter (thus demanding high level fights from him) when in fact he is really just a good HW with a thin resume.

I do not want to treat him as some elite fighter in their 30s that HAS to fight an elite opponent in order to maintain my high opinion of him. I don't hold him in high regards, so there is no need.

W/ the **** he talked about the k bros, he needs to step up & fight them. If he needs a tune up, he should've fought arreola. Now a win over arreola won't mean anything after his loss to adamek. If he doesn't fight one of the brothers, he needs to fight adamek or someone credible.

If he decides to duck the Klitschkos he will give the excuse that he has to fight Chagaev (who will beat Meehan easily unless he is ruined) as a mandatory or rematch Valuev. This is BS as if he beats one or both of the brothers he can dump the WBA belt and it will be as irrelevant as it was when Valuev held it.

There is also a real chance that Chagaev would beat him.

Haye is the man? Bull****. Haye ran from Valuev for 12 rounds. They only want Haye to destroy him, because he is a **** draw even in England. He has nothing they need.

Haye will just be the man to clean up the WBA and will be remmeber as a coward if he doesnt fight WLAD.

And yet the following quality fighters are available: K-bros, Chambers, Adamek, Povetkin, Thompson.......christ even if he took on Arreola or Solis, id be happy.

What has emerged from Haye is a pattern of picking extremely safe but known HW opponents (Meehan and Chagaev are just the latest), all of whom were past their prime. That and his inactiveness have so far been emblematic of his HW campaign. He wants all the glory but doesn't seem to have the guts to step up and fight the above competition.

He can either take the challange route: K Bros and Adamek

Or he can live off the mandatories for the rest of his reign: Chagaev, Meehan, Valuev.

Looks like he's choosing the latter. Again, I don't know how Haye fans can look at themselves in the mirror. Haye seems to have so much potential yet he's behaving like a total *****. If he spends most of his prime cherry picking weak fighters that's a total waste imo.
