Agreed I was going for Bellew in the first fight but this time I want Haye to knock him out.

I wonder how many men have been killed by kangaroos? (Not counting Manlets) Not familiar with the crucial marsupial

Are they known for KOing men????

Haye's become something of a Tyson/Zab Judah figure where, no matter how much writing is on the wall -- and it's pretty much a whole novel by now -- people still want to believe he'll turn back the clock for one last night. Boxing so rarely works out like that, and when it does it's usually down to something the opponent fails to do. Bellew might be a smug git who thinks it's in the bag, but he's also a professional who knows what's at stake if he blows it. He'll approach this fight with the same level of commitment and patience as the first fight, which leaves Haye very little chance barring a lucky punch. But again, how often does that ever work out at the top level?

Same exact situation here lol. Wanted Bellew to win badly and he’s made me regret that decision ever since

I think you mean delusional. Disillusioned is what happened to Haye.

I agree Bellew looks unbearably smug this time round. It was almost enough for me to root against him; then I remembered who he was fighting and held my ground. :D

The difference with Haye is that "turning back the clock" may simply be just not having a serious lower extremity injury during a fight. Haye's movement has always been a big part of his effectiveness and success. Vs Bellew he was limping around the ring. (even early on before the injury became obvious, he was clearly bothered by the achilles, his posture was not right) Vs Wlad he was hampered by the broken toe. When Haye hasn't had a major leg injury (and yes the toe counts because he couldn't plant and use his normal movement vs Wlad) he hasn't ran into too many problems, he's never really had to re-invent himself. With Haye it's not so much that he needs to turn back the clock, he just needs to not have injured legs.

it's about "one punch KO's". Chisora didn't get "one punch KO'd", he went down from 2 different combo's and he even ended the fight on his feet.

When Haye wasn't fighting anyone worth a damn he had no problems either.

Haye's body isn't a matter of injured or injury free. His whole frame is riddled with wear and tear, and the way he fights only makes the potential for those injuries to occur highly likely. It's what Bellew understood, and why he fought Haye the way he did, knowing that it was only a matter of time till his pressure would force Haye to pop or tear something. He'll do the same in the rematch, and the repeat is likely to happen.

Wlad beat Haye because he was better than him. The little toe injury had very little effect on his mobility, since unless Haye's feet are on the wrong way round you don't push off your little toe to throw a punch.

Haye's toe clearly bothered him and affected his ability to win the fight. Funny as it was, he took his boot off after the fight and showed it to everyone (lmfao) to prove he was limited. That thing was red as a balloon and all puffy and what not. Haye was ice skating out there vs Wlad, he was not moving around normally. The toe not only affected his performance but affected his preparation.

I give Bellew all the credit in the world, but Haye was clearly injured. Didn't he fly to Germany or something to see a specialist like 2 days before the fight? Bellew is good enough to give a healthy Haye a tough fight, but if Haye's sorted out his feet / leg issues, it will not be easy for Bellew to beat him. Not saying it's impossible, just that the first fight doesn't prove much because Haye was clearly fighting with a serious injury. And it's unclear how well that injury has healed but we'll find out soon enough.

The bicep injury I don't think is as big of a problem as the foot / leg injuries were for Haye. I get how the bicep injury could indicate wear and tear, but it sounded like a freak injury which caused the rematch to be postponed. You don't have to put all your body weight on your bicep like you do an achilles or even a badly broken toe.
