Coures he his. If people haven't figured it out yet they're in for a shock. But if you know anything about boxing you konw thats the smart way to fight Wladirm. He's the bigger man, you don't just stand infront of him even if you think he's got a glass chin. Also you don't win rounds by standing right infront of Wlad getting hit by his jab. You need to move away from it and bank rounds. Very few come from behind knockouts ever happen at world level in boxing. If you're not thinking about winning rounds you're not thinking about winning the fight and if you think David Haye is going in to this fight only thinking about a knockout then you got another thing coming. He'll be looking to move, draw Wlad onto counter punches and pick up rounds. Its the smart way to fight.

 

You're doing Groves a massive injustice by describing that performance as hit and run

Yep I've said all along that this is what Haye will do....he fought scared vs Valuev and he knows Wlad or Vitali are a cut above SNV!! He knows they have more skills, are faster and punch much harder. He said in the past he's gonna have to fight 'like mike tyson' vs Wlad but I cant see it. Be nice to see it but that could see him KO'd early walking into a Wlad right hand or left hook on the way in. Keep hoping he'll suprise us all and do what he once said he'd do..but just like hes said Wlad will do what he always has done...so will he!!


His punch output vs SNV was so low I thought he lost it, sure he landed a few power shots but they IMO weren't enough to win vs all the jabs he ate up. Anyway thats history now but we'll see if that low punch output was due to what he said was the reason in his excuse - a broken hand. If he does the same again I will think its nothing to do with any broken hand but that hes just scared to engage or take risks. And either Klitschko is a much BIGGER risk.

 

Haye will hit and run, all the while getting hit much more often than he lands punches himself.

he will bomb in and out of range,get in,drop the bombs,and move away,but wlad will get hurt from this fairly early,valuev was a giant,an iron chinned freak,haye had no choice to be cautious more so,and also wlad isnt as big as valuev either.

 

I don't see Haye as a one dimensional slugger that stands in front of his much bigger opponent...

That was the only positive about Groves being given the decision tonight is it keeps the Haye camp in good spirits for July 2nd when Haye shuts up most of ESB.
