...if it is Wladimir he fights. I know Rahman is finished and he only took the fight at short notice, but Wlad was clinical tonight, he looked sharp and accurate. I think Haye may have problems getting passed that left hand.
And if he lands on Wlad this fight will get VERY interesting. It's an intriguing fight with clashing personalities and power. Sounds like a recipe for money.
Of course its going to look like that when Rahmn is as slow as a ****ing Rock. I can see where he got that name. He was out of shape. How can you expect to get past a jab like that with no speed and no effort? Haye has a far better chance. When I picture Haye in there, it looks a lot more dangerous of a prospect with his speed and natural ability to time shots, especially on tall fighters. Also, he will go out on his sword and try something, not just stand there getting his head jabbed into a mush. Chances are Haye still gets KO'd, but nothing about the fight tonight told us anything different.
I'm a Haye fan but give him no chance in this one, Wladimir said it best when he made the comparison to Herbie Hide.
You're forgetting that Wlad has terrific lateral movement for such a huge man. He showed it against Austin when the tall American went to Wlad's body and landed some solid shots. Wlad will respect Haye's power and speed and move laterally while blasting Haye with the best power-jabs since prime Larry Holmes. Haye, the cruiser-weight with a suspect chin will never get near the massive Wlad and may well get K.O'ed by a left jab. Wlad's a ring general and has Manny Steward to help plan his strategy. David Haye is toast if he fights either Klit.
I agree. I think Haye is a limited boxer at hw. He flurries with power punches, retreats and rests. then does the same thing. I think Wlad controls the distance via foot movement, clinching and with his left hand and pounds him with the jab forcing Haye to quit on his stool. Wlad looks a lot more comfortable, relaxed and fluid against orthodox boxers.
