Haye may be the overall better fighter than Sanders, but Byrd is also better than Sanders, who simply had the right package to beat Wlad: A good HW chin, southpaw, speed and power and he was totally underestimated by Wlad. Of those factors, Haye only has the speed and power. Wlad had zero gameplan for Sanders, the current version has a gameplan for everyone.

Brewster took punishment that Haye would never survive. I am not saying Haye has a glass chin, but he is now HW version of Hagler, which Brewster was in terms if toughness. And there was something wrong with Wlad's metabolism, I am not saying poisoning, athletes sometimes simply have an off - night with their body.

Wlad gassed after 5 rounds of a total beating of Brewster. Sanders was a very hard puncher very fast and a good finisher when he had you. They were embarrassing losses but also over five years ago.

I agree with this statemnt. Sanders was dangerous nobody wanted to fight him hi risk no reward. Everybody avoided him fast hard hitting south paw thats not a popular option. He shocked Wlad it was an upset it happens. Wlad now would demolish that Sanders. Wlad gassed he never throws as many punches as he did in Brewster 1 anymore he is patient behind a jab I doubt he ever gasses again.

Sanders was an exceptional athlete back in the day, rugby player, track star and a good amateur record when he was in shape of course. He was called " The Sniper" by Lennox Lewis. I think an in shape Sanders beats Byrd and Haye.

Jean Marc Mormeck is like a way better version of Lamon Brewster accept for defense and stanima. Both are pressure fighters. He would got KTFO.

Brewster is so underrated on this forum.

reminds me of vargas, in that, he was a beast in his prime, but his prime lasted about 18 months.

that said haye has a better chance than anyone to beat wladimir. lets have it right, no one is good enough to outpoint him, his only weakness is his chin. he has sorted out his stamina issues.

no other heavy weight has hayes mix of speed and one punch power.

only wlad today loses is by kayo and who else has the speed to get beyond wlads jab and then the power to kayo him.

i have it about 34-66 in favour of wlad

    Two things to cosnider here:

-Wlad has come a long way since then and has developed a very effective style that nobody has really managed to find a way past since those losses

-Haye, while having the speed, reflexes and power required to make it competitive, still has question marks over his ability to take punishment at heavyweight, especially against a guy like Wlad who breaks his opponents down.

Haye certainly has a chance but it's not going to be easy at all.

:patsch Besides the fact that Brewster is lazy as ****, he's a great fighter. He's a pressure fighter with pretty good speed, good stamina and a great ****ing chin.

If Brewster came out swinging like he did against Golota, he would get rid of Haye faster than he did with Golota. Golota at least has a better chin than Haye.

Sanders was a very good fighter. Southpaw to boot.
I'm picking Haye over Wlad though. How does Wlad have a gameplan against an opponent that doesn't have any particular style and who changes his style from fight to fight.
Hayes a gunslinger at heart but these days he's disciplined when he needs to be.
The fight won't go the distance. That much I do know.

:lol::nut if Mormeck met the Brewster who fought Wlad it would of been Lights out.. Brewster had a waay better chin, power, stamina and size... Hell if they fought now an old washed up brewster stops Mormeck..
