I really like Haye's personality ... he's confident ... doesn't seem to serious, and doesn't talk like an idiot.
you dont know **** abou strength training, if you did you would not be talking out of your ass, temporary strength?:rofl :rofl wtf is that? shane mosley lifted from his light weight days, roy jones lifted to prepare for the tito fight too, we have a guy on the training section who was sparring jones in preperation for tito.
It was In boxing monthly magazine where they Interviewed Haye and his trainer before the Maccarinelli fight. No way has he looked the same and Tyson did looked like he lifted weights.
I just watched 1/2 of that video and i'm starting to get a different impression of Haye. He looks good in sparring ... i'd like to see more jabs ... but its just sparring. He has good defense -- and a strong jab when he uses it ...
why did RJJ mention those words I wrote during the 2nd fight w/ Mosley and Winky ... and Steward mentioned that during the Hatton v Urango fight ... when they suspected that Urango lifted weights. non of the old school boxers lifted weights ... they just did push ups ... fighters don't have to lift weights as a part of their training. Resistance training is better than weight lifting ... using resistance bands have the same effects minus the wear that weight lifting has on you. What about using medicine balls and weighted gloves ... there's no reason for weight lifting
Damn 228 ... if he gets to a comfortable 230-235 ... then he's a threat to be reconed with ... he has great hand speed and throws accurate punches. and to you relentless ... if RJJ lifted weight before the Tito fight where's your proof of that?
Haye has good explossiveness though and that could be the weight training so It's not bad for boxing.
Thats ENTIRELY untrue. You`d have to be Stevie Wonder not see the massive physical changes Haye has gone though since turning pro.Even when he weighed in at heavy for his fight with Delaney he was relatively soft and didnt have the hardness that he did for the Enzo fight. Look at the diffrence in his traps. He barely even had traps for the Delaney fight.
David used to eat his way to heavy as an Amatuer. He simply was NOT a heavyweight and he knew it.If he was he would have made the super heavy category.
Watch the Delaney fight AT HEAVY and then watch his fight vs Mac at cruiser. You dont magically grow traps like that just by eating and working out.
Bossjack ... do you think Haye lifts weights? and to go along w/ this thread I think Haye is a natural HW
