Haye uses weights , but not massive weights... He works out with free weights and has a great nutrition team working him through a perfectly formulated set weight gain routine to slam the solid muscle back on for his so called assault on the heavyweight ranks.. The answer then is YES.. David uses weights... God bless..

Without doubt. Haye does a lot of explosive weight-lifting and has put on 40lbs of muscle in 3 years.

Pic 1 is Haye at 190lbs. The second one, 3 years later, is around 225lbs.

Also, check out how he looked for the Bonin weigh-in compared to the Enzo weigh in.

    Bonin - 217lbs

    Mac - 198lbs

Haye is much more ripped in the Enzo Mac fight, and no doubt that increased muscle definition is due to the effects of dehydration. He actually looks healthier at 220lbs.

His not massive. I weigh more than Haye and wouldnt consider myself massive. I never said he used steroids either. Like i said in order to build musculature you simply have to do plyometric workouts or weights. Davids physique has changed dramatically from when he was an Am to when he turned pro to now.He was very tight at the weight and it showed in his superb conditioning. He also boasts better conditioning and hardness than earlier on in his career. The only way for this big physical diffrence would be from weights coupled with his training regime and diet.

EXCELLENT! :thumbsup Look at the major diffrences and the softness at 190 (although relative to his conditioning at 198 for the Mac fight which was a peak David Haye) The traps chest delts and abdominal development is significantly different as i already said compared to when he was at 190. You dont grow and increase conditoning at the same time UNLESS you are doing some form of plyometrics or weights.

    1. thompson loss was exhaustion (like foreman v ali and wlads losses)

    2. was rocked by mormeck, and was very smart in taking a knee and 8 count. maturity beyond his age.

    3. why stay at cruiser when he can make tons of cash win lose or draw at hw + he's already a proven ATG at cruiser

    Thanks

Now I have to ask because I heard that weight lifting wasn't good from boxers .... Emanuel Steward said it during a fight when he suspect Juan Urango was lifting weights and RJJ said it during the second fight between Winky and Shane.

Does anyone think that its bad for boxers?

    please explain your answer please

Dropped hard by Mormeck? No no, he was off balance and then dropped his hands.. therefore he took 3 or 4 hard shots and went down.. (almost) anyone would have..

Steward is talking bull****.WEIGHTS WORKS FACT! Its not everyones cup of tea and naturally its diffrent strokes for diffrent folks but weights or explosive lifting WILL increase your performance and punch power. It worked for Tyson and Holyfield.

being a unified champ doesn't make you an ATG at cruiser ...

thats funny as hell that you said that --

I agree with the first two but the 3rd one threw me off track.

He hasn't done anything to be considered an ATG ... he beat Macca and Mormeck.
There's still good fighters at 199 ... If he can't make the weight, then fine, if he wants more money and thinks a move up will do that then fine, but don't discredit many fighters before him and say he's an ATG.

CW is just starting to get some pub in the US and Shotime and ESPN are starting to give the division some TV time.

Thanks for the pics as well -- they told alot about what you were talking about. I agree that his body looked more tight and he was a whole lot bigger in the shoulders and the chest.

I must admit weights or not ... he's done a good job making his body look good.

So? He was exhausted and thats why he went down.. He has said it, Ali has said it, everyone at or around the fight knows it.

As great as Ali was I'm not convinced that the combination that floored Foreman would have done so earlier in the fight. Eight rounds of Foreman throwing bombs from in the African heat is obviously going to have a negative effect on his punch resistance.
