When/if he beats the Klits and a few others then probably yes but as of now know. I'd say it was Wlad. If any Klit fans are reading though yes Haye is by far the best heavy post Lewis.
And when Haye cures cancer between rounds, he'll win the Noble prize too!! Then he'll go on to solve World Hunger, and abolish disease. BTW, IS means present tense. No, Haye ISn't the best HW in the post-Lewis era, he's not even close. If he were (that is in the future) to win some significant fights, then perhaps he'd be deserving of that title you are so eager to bestow.
Wow. If you push a little harder you can get your entire head up Haye's ass..............................
Wow!? So Haye does less against Valuev than Holy did, squeaks out a (controversial) victory, and now he's possibly the best HW in the last decade? FFS, you Haye fans are too much! You might concern yourself with beating Huggy Bear first before you even think about somebody named Klitschko. K?
Is this a joke thread? What has Haye done at heavy? Beat Monte Barrett? Ran and beat a Valuev who had just been beat by a 68 year old Evander Holyfield? Maybe he will become something more, but all he is right now is a top 10 heavy.
Way too early to be asking this, that Valuev fight didn't do Haye any favors IMO. It was a questionable win against very slow but big opponent with no skill. Haye will have to do alot better and more to start being compared to Lewis.
Ridiculous thread!! Haye looked quite poor against Valuev, much more boring than any of the recent Klit fights! He only threw about 12 punches a round and he claims Wlad was boring? He will get annihilated by klits. New question, champion with shortest reign since the last great champion?
He's not gonna beat the Klitschkos, so no, he is, nor will he likely ever become, the best post-Lewis HW. Right now, only Vitali and Wlad are in that discussion.
Haye has three fights at HW and not a single performance that would exceed what several other HW's have shown in past years. There are probably dozens of HW fights since Lewis' retirement that have shown more ability than Haye's wins over Barrett and Valuev. Purely in H2H terms, Chagaev's career easily exceeds Haye's, including a more convincing win against Valuev. Haye has a lot of talent and IF he puts it all together, he may have a bright future. So far, he won at cruiserweight because his superior talent let him get away with mistakes and sloppiness. Against Barrett, he was overexcited and against Valuev he was far from impressive. He seems to overestimate himself quite a bit, which is never a good idea - Wlad paid for it against Sanders, Lewis against Rahman. It remains to be seen if Haye can smooth out his mistakes, turn a fight around against a big, skilled HW etc. Talent is only one factor in the equasion and the other factors are largely unknown about Haye when it comes to the HW - division.
