Haye is probably the most explosive hitter at heavyweight since Tyson.

I agree, Haye does not throw combinations with speed like Morrison, you cant really even compare them. That is hayes biggest weakness, one shot at a time.

The guy def has power though and has a good single shot, but Wlad has a better single shot. Haye is a talented fighter no doubt though.

Give him a chin and if he would actually fight rather than put out 1-2 fights a year then I can see being more excited about him.

I feel sorry for all the sane UK fans that have to represented by such deluded ****s when it comes to Haye's overrated ass. It is so embarrassing.

    Heye doesnt have knockout punch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He isnt Tyson. He isnt capable to put his opponent to sleep. No way for lights out after HAye punches.Look at Ruiz or even Bonin. Haye is very fast and accurate so he can knockdown his opponents, but i couldnt imagine chambers going to hospital after Haye punch

At cruiser he was quite fast. He is much slower and takes his time more, pacing himself, probably because his stamina is not that great at this weight. But, no way he is faster than Tyson.

A younger and better version of Ruiz got KTFO far, far quicker by David Tua.

So I guess the answer to this thread is that Tua is the fastest knockout puncher since Tyson.

Here's Lennox Lewis with fast single punches:

When have you ever seen Haye throw a combo as quick and powerful as the left hook, straight right that Lewis just landed in that sequence above?

Or how about this from Lennox, at age 35?

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8sGrBwBppy0#t=6m57s

You can even see the combo was slowed down so Lewis could hit Botha with the final right.

    More combos from Lennox:

No one talks about Lennox having amazing hand speed, yet he showed that not only could he throw fast single punches with the right hand like Haye, but unlike Haye, he actually threw quick fluid combinations with power.

Haye's handspeed is one of the most overrated attributes of any fighter ever. at Gavin Evans calling him "easily the fastest HW since prime Ali"

I'm not sure David Haye throws a faster, more powerful punch than prime Shannon Briggs, Corrie Sanders, or Lewis.

Thread Stealer is right about this; if Haye and Morrison were trading combinations Haye would be outpunched and outlanded. Of course Haye might put him out with a single shot, but Tommy was no slouch with his own left hook and Haye is no iron man.
