Yes. And Leon Spinks was a better boxer than Ali because he outpointed him.

So we have established that Sanders, Morrison, Tua, Lewis and the best version of Briggs were all more explosive punchers. That's just a quick summary too - there are likely plenty more.

This thread is a spectacular failure.

He is a quick fighter and has good reflexes and good speed. However, I'd say that there are faster punches (if we are determining speed as speed of punch). Look at Byrd for example.

The big difference between Haye and Tyson is that Haye has fast hands but mediocre footwork and balance. Tyson moved his whole body in union with speed, Haye sometimes throws blistering punches and in the next moment moves like a sloppy fighter. Overall, his effective speed is overrated, which is why smaller fighters without blazing speed like Fragomeni or Mormeck landed good punches on him.

What is your definition of a power puncher? someone who hits hard, scores knock downs, hurts and badly stuns his opponents? Haye fits that description. If by power puncher you mean 1 punch KO artist, well they are a rare and special breed, as even the Klits are not not 1 punch KO artists, infact how many of those do you actually even see in the HW division or infact any division.

Trust me, Haye is a power puncher, he certainly doesn't pitter pat his way to a win now does he? :patsch

See the Valuev fight, 11.9 pitter pat punches per round and ran like a schoolgirl all night

Wlad would have demolished Ruiz. But people aren't going on about how much of a power puncher he is.

Yeah and see all his other fights, he's won by KO, and almost had Valuev out of there. If thats not the mark of a power puncher I dunno what is. And those were not pitter pat punches on Valuev, Haye didn't throw many but he hit Valuev hard when he did let his hands go.

The ***** has to step in the ring first, which he's scared to death of doing.
