Haye is also following the lead of Floyd Mayweather Jr by insisting that random blood testing for drugs will be carried out for all his bouts. A bout between Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao collapsed over Mayweather’s insistence on Olympic-style testing and Booth said that stand inspired Haye. “David wants to use his position to help clean up the sport,” Booth said.

Klitchko's will never agree to drug testing. I would be really surprised if they did. Whatever his reasons are for asking for tests, I don't care. The more boxers that ask for it, the better for the sport. Regardless of whatever people think their reasons are. Boxing is a dirty sport in various ways and it's too bad.

The best way he can help the sport is by fighting one of the brothers and bringing back hype for a heavyweight fight again that has not been their for years. That would really help the sport.

Why wouldn't they take the tests though? You think they're on roids?

Yep. A mega fight at heavy weight hasn't happened in a long time. Would be a huge boost. If he actually beat one of them, it would be really really good for the sport.

Povetkin has asked Wlad to go along with OSDT for their fight and Wlad said he would be willing to do so. I'm fully confident that Wlad would have no problem complying in order to fight Haye. He's a clean athlete and has nothing to hide. His brother is a known steroid user, and I'm sure he would comply as well to prove that he no longer juices.

No I don't, but I don't think there they would be necessarily forthcoming to agreeing to it.

I tell you what. I am really pleased Ward is agreeing to testing because the Conte connection looks so bad even if the guy is only selling legit stuff now. I am really glad there is testing for that fight.

In my eyes, Haye needs to fight one of the Klits or Adamek next. Any of those fights would be completely acceptable. Valuev is not a bad option as he has to fight him again anyway. Harrison shouldn't even be in the running. That fight is a disgrace.

Well, this is just like Andre Ward asking for testing, it helps clean up their image.

His brother? You mean Vitali? Is that going back to when they were in the Russian Amateur program for something?

Yes, Vitali. The same Vitali who was kicked out of the olympics for juicing. I don't believe he's juicing anymore, and I'm sure he would have no problem undergoing OSDT to prove it.

I really think Adamek vs Haye makes good sense and the winner fights Wlad. If not that, then they both fight a brother and winners fight each other (unless both brothers win of course).

I think it would be hard to have tests for all bouts in the near future, but for these championship fights, I see no reason why not.
