As I remember correctly the main reason Haye was not happy with
Klitchko's contracts was the clause demanding the fight with other
brother in case Haye wins the first match up.

Regardless the true reasons of Haye's poor motivation to fight either of
Klitchko (not fair money share, or whatever close to being terrifying)
what do you think about the clause itself?

For me: after winning the first match - having a guarantee of facing
the other brother (cf. sister by James Toney) with possibility to
unification of all the mayor belts would be a dream for each real boxer.

So what is really an excuse for Haye to ***** at that superior
contract clause? Did he ever said officially why he is not happy with
possibility to unify all the belts and beat both Klitchkos one after another?

I think all the more recent discussions (after Haye snatched the WBA strap from Valuev) were NO OPTIONS contracts. I have no idea why Haye is still talking about the option conracts all the time?

i think it's been firmly established Haye is a being a *****, running away and is just making some money in other fights first before he finally has to face the music.

    Isn’t it to do with....

Klitschko being tied into a contract with a TV network that is ‘apparently’ paying less than another one, has made Haye say
    This content is protected

    Klitschko says
    This content is protected

    Haye then says
    This content is protected
, and runs back down the escalators.

    That's what happened, I think.

And actually what happened (IMO) is:

Haye fights Valuev and signs a 3 option contract with Sauerland. Each and every fight Sauerland gets a % cut of all the revenues, straight out of Haye's pockets. 5%? 10%? 20%? No idea but it probably is substantial.

If Haye fought a Klitschko now he'd have to share "his 50%" of the money pot with Sauerland.

Haye is probably trying to rid himself of Sauerland, which is all good and fine but he shouldn't blame *HIS* Sauerland problems on the Klitschkos. Haye chose to sign their slave contract so he better take responsibility.

Because the additional matches would probably still be 50 50 even if Haye won. Why not negotiate the return contract after the fact?

Booth and Haye publicly asked for 50-50 no options offer. everything has to be split 50-50 that were their words. Then the Klits put it on the table and Haye went into hiding. Once the IBF deadline came and Wlad had to move on Haye came up with some dog**** about how 50-50 isnt fair to tranquilize the british press and his nuthuggers. His plan was from the start to fight Fraudley to secure some easy money no matter what the Klits had offered him.

I dont think so. According to Sauerland its a long term strategic partnership. Sauerland once stated they´ll waive of the Valuev rematch clause if Haye accepts further options. well and its hasnt happened.

Right so there may be a number of co-promoted events for Haye and Sauerland, guaranteeing Sauerland more income from the WBA strap. Who knows if Haye signed off more options to Sauerland and Sauerland maybe in turn paid off Valuev so he forgoes his rights to a rematch?

Indeed, but in fairness, Haye should have negotiated better terms for the Valuev-Sauerland contract before putting pen to paper.

He only has himself to blame and I'd imagine that the reason he is taking non-Sauerland contracted fighters (I don't think Harrison or Ruiz are Sauerland fighters, someone please correct me if I'm wrong) is to build himself a big cash cushion before the Klitschko's derail his career and money earning potential.

I completely sympathize with Haye's dream of building a nice safe nest egg for his wife and his children before he takes on more risky fights like the Klitschkos. Hey it's common sense. At some point he will retire and he has to live off his savings for the rest of his life.

But he should have then never run his mouth and behaved unsportsman-like towards the Klitschkos before. Calling them names and then quickly disappearing when it comes to fighting it out in the ring was just disgraceful.

Again, good for his wife and his kids, but bad for the sport that Haye is representing IMO.

One can at least say he will be very wealthy when all contract terms are fulfilled
