I don't ever recall Mayorga showing his pinky toe to the camera like a ****ing five year old. He can admit when he loses to a better man and says the thrash talk is just for entertainment after the fight and gives his opponent their dues. Where as Haye is just a ****.
I was disappointed with the excuse and when he raised his hand at the final bell atsch I'd have loved it if he said, "D'yo know what, you were too good Wladimir. I underestimated your abilities". He's getting slated cos of the toe excuse, best thing was too stay quiet. But even before the fight a lot of people were getting all worked up over the trash talking. That's just part of boxing.
Don't put so much in a fighters 'promises' and 'trash talk' next time. My main problem is it's all or nothing with people. If you lose you're a 'joke' and if you win you're the best thing since slice bread. Just a little perspective would be nice. You wanted him to leave it all in the ring, but i guarentee he'd be a 'joke' too if he put it recklessly all on the line and blown away in a couple rounds.
I can see from your posts you are a reasonable guy Slip but this is one time that a rational view of things can only lead to Haye being castigated. Perspective is something Haye should have thought about when he was behaving like an over the top *****. Haye deserves harsh criticism. He made his own bed by turning out to be a fraud. If he made an honest, never say die, effort to win the fight nobody would be pissed off the way they are now.
Wlads face looks quite marked up. A accurate more aggressive fighter could have taken advantage of those cuts.....
David Haye is a stubborn person, most winners are. David Haye knows he was beaten, but he does not sound or looked like a defeated fighter or person. Any normal person, would be hanging the head downwards and feeling all sorry for himself. David Haye has that type of personality, he's not easily defeated. Wladimir Kiltschko won the fight, but he did not defeat David Haye as a man "Fact". David Haye never once had that look in his eye's Shane Mosley had, of pure defeat. "This was not a Bernard Hopkins vs Kelly Pavlik type defeat" David Haye wanted to win, right up until the end. I think there should be a rematch, and just like the first time, it will be a 50/50 fight in my opinion. "For me personally". David Haye did not look classes apart from, Wladimir Kilschko. In my opinion it was a good fight, and putting all my bull**** aside. Deep down i thought the fight would go the distance with both guys getting some credit. Haye took some big punches, and showed his real toughness. And vice versa, Kilstchko took some semi-hayemakers. Good fight, had suspense and drama for me. Wladimir Kiltscko is a great guy, and i like him. "David Haye won't retire on a loss, or without leaving it all inside of the ring......all"
HBO really gave Haye a hard time Lampely called him a 'soccer flopper' and Merchant was being sarcastic the whole damn fight about him.Quite funny at times. You should check it out.
I felt all along Haye was an overrated chancer and would be found out by the klits. He hasn't beat anybody at cruiser or heavy. He's mostly mouth. What I wasn't so sure about was how much of a knob Haye is. Is it possible for someone to make a bigger **** of themself before, during and after a fight?
I aint usually one for slagging the commentators off, but Rawling cooks by head. He does everything he can to try to suggest the Brit is doing well, and is close on points. I reckon he would have given Lacy a share against Calzaghe if he was Brit and Calzaghe the yank.
When Haye would throw the occasional right Rawling really tried to make out it landed and did some damage.
