Haye is like the Bernie Madoff of boxing - he ripped off the public for £10 million in a total sham, fix of a fight.

It's funny, Hopkins tweeted him when the fight was announced saying Wlad was a robot and that he's going to bring excitement to the division...

..does he know Haye is retiring in October?..Haye is going to bring us 3 whole months of excitement.. before vacating his titles for Don Kings bum heavyweights to pick up and pass around amongst each other.. whoopty ****ing doo

Well, it's up to Haye whether he trash talks or not, but if he gets KOed then he'll have a big helping of crow to eat. Just look what happened after Ali taunted Frazier before the FOTC...

The amount of Wlad fans that are going to watch the fight isn't a number set in stone. Fighters promote their fights regardless of how many fans they 'think' will tune in. Fighters sometimes try and sell it to a wider audience by insulting the opposing fighter. Fighters NEVER sit back and say "well the fight is selling itself so I may aswell go home". THAT'S nonsense!

When I say Wlad can't sell fights, I mean he has 0 charisma. This is a fact and is also the reason I can count on my fingers how many fans he has outside eastern Europe. If you're talking about showtime/HBO, you're talking about the American audience. I think we all know that Wlad went down like a lead balloon on those shores, and now American networks are only interested in a Wlad bout if he is fighting Haye.

As I said, the fight needs selling and not just to British fans, but to Euro and American fans, too. And as I ALSO said, Wlad can't sell steaming **** to a hungry fly, so it's on Haye.

    Simple as that.

More from Haye. I though that hyena is the one whose yapping and barking?

"I have the heart of lion," the 30-year-old Londoner said, "whereas Wladimir has the heart of a hyena. He cries and squeals and slips into the wilderness at the first sign of danger.

"Wladimir has proven this over the years and I'm certain he will want no part of this lion when it finally comes time to go to war. I have been chasing this fight since day one, because I know boxing styles and I know which styles I have success against. Klitschko is ready-made for me. I eat tall, chinny eastern European heavyweights for breakfast. Wladimir is a fighter that doesn't like to fight and he has admitted that fact in the past. Unfortunately for him, I am a fighter that loves nothing more than fighting.

"This is the match the boxing world has been calling for since I first decided to step into the heavyweight division. We are the best two heavyweights in the world and it would have been a travesty for us to have never fought."

Of course ANY entrepreneur, be they a fighter, musician or whatever doesn't sit back and say ok fine everything is selling well. And sure some fighters try to generate interest with insults. However since it appears to only be one area of income which is dependent of viewing figures (SKY) and that Haye spouts his nonsense generally on one channel (SKY) and most of his fans will be veiwing (and paying) to watch on that one channel it's seems kinda clear that Haye is trying to sell the fight to the UK public, who're probably still sore after the Harrison travesty.

You're on the nonsense again, it ISN'T a fact that Wlad has zero charisma, that is an opinion. What is a fact is the Klitchko fights are broadcast in around 110 countries, as this weekends match with Vitali/Solis will be.
So to carry that thought onward you've got a HUGE number of fingers there.

Sure, HBO are only interested in Wlad/Haye bout, but significantly they're uninterested in Haye vs anyone else too, so what exactly does that tell you about his supposed exitement factor/charisma? I do recall some interest in a Wlad?Adamek bout so we may see that happen yet.

Just for the record, Germany isn't Eastern Europe, plenty of fans of the Klitschkos there :good

I've been through Tampere a few times, a friend of my GF's used to live there and loved it though.

Hey I didn't know that NONE of the Finnish stations picked it up!!! I may be in Sysma (sorry no umlaut) when the Haye/Wlad match is on. I guess it'll have to be a stream then
