Good. Haye began negotiations with several fighters and before sustaining a slight injury in training, Rahman was his first choice. However Rahman thens signed to fight Wladamir a month after Haye had pencilled in his first post Enzo heavyweight fight.
Toney was also signed to fight Fres Oquendo, so both those options were gone.

Haye then turned to look at other options and shortlisted Barrett and Kevin Johnson. He was derided for the Johson choice on here and several forums. But hey that's boxing.

Briggs had not fought in 18 months when the Haye fight was discussed, so not quite sure why you think fighting Barrett was an easier option and that he "ducked" Briggs.

 

Quite simply - Briggs is a huge puncher and a lot more dangerous than Barrett. That's common sense really.

 

Haye was derided for the Johnson choice because he had been inactive for a year, hyped up a fight with the brothers, and promised he would debut against a top 10 heavy. Johnson was a talented but unknown prospect which angered people. I thought it would have been an interesting match, much more than Barrett who was not even on the radar.

 

Haye will never agree to foght the Klits, he will fight bums in the UK Calzaghe style

 

the klitschko's are bitches, they fight no names and green prospects such as that sonowski guy (whom i've never heard of till now) and kingpin johnson, when will vitlay step up in class?

 

these guys are mocking us fans fighting poor competition and then posing in gay homoerotic pictures with each other, its like they're saying "haha we fight who ever we want screw you, and we're gay too, what you gonna do about it!?"

 

He knows Klits won't fight each other but wants to stir up the pot and create demand by the public. It's a humiliation tactic.

 

He doesn't have to do that, the demand is already there for a year now! He just has to put up!
