Unbelievable - the fact remains that Wlad contracted for another fight. Nothing else matters. Yes tht Klits may be responding to events in 2009 and dicking Haye around but the fact is that the most relevant and finanncially rewarding fught in the division was there to be had. Sparring is how you get sharp and some great fighters are **** in sparring and some **** hot.

    Just another hate thread

Haye was stopped / retired - he was still punching back. I don't criticise Vit for retiring v Byrd - only he knows how hurt he was. This is boxing - go read National Enquirer, more your style

Tony Thompson is one of the most avoided fighters today. If you watch him on tape he doesn't look like he's particularly good, but he is very effective. James Toney probably knew why he didn't wanna fight him...

Ok, David Haye was rocked & down, they stopped sparring for the time being. Thompson hits just as hard as Klitschko though.

Haye boxes careless and without any defense whatsoever. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets knocked down in sparring every once in a while, especially at the beginning of camp when his timing and reflexes aren't at their best yet.

Not knocking Haye at all, it's just his high risk style. He leaves himself wide open and pays the price. Good for him it mainly happens in sparring, thus far. Doesn't hurt he hand picks near 40 year old HWs with diminished hand-speed and reflexes neither.

Getting dropped in sparring is not good. No way around it. The reason you spar is to give yourelf the best idea of what it will be like to be in there with your next opponent. Thats why boxers get sparring partners to mimic their next opponents. Haye getting dropped in sparring is not the end of the world, but it surely will not help his confidence. Especially against someone who punches like on of the Klitschkos. Vitali and Byrd was a different situation being that Vitali tore his rotator cuff and ligaments in his shoulder. He quit on the advice of his corner and the ringside doctor. Ahead on all three score cards, (not sure if you saw the whole fight, Vitali dominates it) do you beleive Byrd would of won minus the shoulder injury. Dont think so.

LOL. I'd suggest that's maybe just a wee bit of why he wants out the game at 32. :yep. Quit while he still has a head!

I would imagine knockdowns aren't too rare an occurrence in HW sparring sessions. If he gets back up, I don't see why this is even a story.

100% correct... wlad KD's his sparing partners all the time... and they HATE it.... they take it to heart... its not good. means the other guy got the best of you and kills confidence... say what you want... I have seen thousands of sparing rounds... getting Kd in sparing is not good

When Thompson was asked about this, he didn't confirm it. He said he was impressed with Haye.
