I don't know if Haye is telling the truth, as he's probably in his prime right now. Maybe he's just nervous, or maybe it's pure marketing.

Wow that´s the first time I see him not acting like a total brick :good
Now he just has to stop ducking the Klitschkos and I might actually start to gain some respect for him.

    When was that interview?
Why didn´t she ask him about the Klitschkos?

Great blazer/t-shirt combination, though. He looks like a cross between a budget priced Common and Paul Reiser.

not one question about wladimir, perhaps they said before the interview no questions about the k bros^^
but honestly, i don't get you all. david did the trash talk to get in the business and to fish some excitement. he knows that he can't beat wladimir and vitali, but if he only talks and fights lesser opponents he stays in the scene and makes money for living. i have no problem with that, i think he will take two more fights against lesser opponents and then we will have the super fight. first fight he will knock out harisson and i hope he gets trough chagaev, i'm not sure if he is able to beat him, no matter. after that he will lose to wladimir big time, but he will have his money and we will have the ring, wbo, wba, ibf, ibo heavyweight champion of the world wladimir klitschko
and to some nuthuggers, i'm a haye hater, but i'm a realist too, and i'm a klitschko fan:bbb

I respect what Haye did at cruiserweight, but please stop saying that he dominated the division. He had 1 title defense! He unified the belts in two fights and had 1 defense. How can a fighter claim to dominate a division after 3 significant fights? :patsch

He's in his prime and he's not going to improve much from here. But Haye is a pretty bright guy. I think he knows that he is not a natural heavyweight and that his chances against a big heavy like Wlad are quite slim. Watching his reaction to Ruiz should tell you everything you need to know. At cruiserweight Haye hit like a Mack truck. He tagged guys with one clean shot and it was goodnight. At heavyweight he hit John Ruiz, not exactly an iron-jawed fighter, with everything but the chicken sink and it took him 9 rounds to dispatch him. He just not a huge puncher at heavy and he know it. That's why he's talking about improving his boxing technique.

Haye knocked Ruiz limp with one shot in the 1st round
he broke his nose, his jaw and bust both his ear drums
He also staggered Valuev with a left

seems like a pretty big puncher at HW to me?

the only reason the Ruiz fight went to the 9th was because Haye got a bit wild and Ruiz had real guts and heart

the klitshckos want to pick off haye before he's experienced enough and confident enough to handle it when the going get's rough, and haye wants to fight stepping stones until he's at his absolute peak and feels he's ready....its easy to understand both sides

More excuses from the Hayemaker. I want the Klitschkos. Vitali will be done after this year, and Wlad will fight Povetkin. What a shame.

Big VK will give him a tune up he'll never forget.

But in reality, I think in this interview, and the sentiment that Haye conveys, he seems to know, and admit, indirectly, that he's not ready for the Klitscko brothers. I agree with the thread starter.

Nothing wrong with Haye coming forward and letting the fans know that, but its a bit nonsensical, after all the bull**** he has talked in the recent past.

Haye is not ready for the Klitsckos...........time to realize that, and move on..........maybe one day in the next year/two years, though.

Until them, I hope we see Haye fight someone like Chag, as he'll give Have a good fight, if not beat him.
