In his recent IFL public workouts he seems to be slow as hell compared to before

I know sometimes they take it easy but they usually let them go a bit

    Maybe he's babying his shoulder?

He also looks smaller and softer.

    Agreed.

He looked slow in his last fight, too.

He talks about his speed, but AJ is quicker with his hands.

I fear that Haye's bulk is going to cost him. He should be just making HW comfortably, IMO. That's when he's at his oat dangerous.

He's still got a lot of meat on his punches, though!

    agreed!

he looks slow but legs look slim, must be very top heavy.

i thought he looked really sluggish against de mori.

haye needs some rounds and i dont think the cobra will give him many, as much as i hate the idea of haye giving briggs a payday he will at least give haye some rounds

He hits very hard you can see that. But so what? His speed was his main asset allowing him to drop bombs. If he's slow but powerful he's just like everyone else.

Until he fights anyone of note it's difficult to say- he will slow down with age but the division is currently full of slow fighters. His footwork didn't look to be too bad in January.

Hearn hinted yesterday that discussions with Haye have taken place- if the Briggs fight happens it'll be on Sky.

Maybe slower compared to 5 years ago but faster than most heavies.

He still has a huge counter right hand in the locker and if anyone makes a mistake against him they could be going to sleep. Hes dangerous.

Against De Mori he was lightening. He's still the fastest, most elusive heavyweight around today and with the best reflexes to boot.

How do you have haye against the big boys?

    Wilder - Haye wins

    Fury - Fury wins

    Joshua - Joshua wins

    Ortiz - Ortiz wins

I can see him takin out bambi legs wilder but all the others I think have moved past him now. I doubt hes the force he was and fury and Joshua are the next breed to take over IMO.

I'm a Fury fan but Haye KOs them all brutally except Ortiz. Ortiz is the best of the bunch.

I Think he beats Fury & Wilder but gets KOed by AJ & Ortiz.

    This.
His power will still look OK against the lower tiers but as soon as he steps up its not going to be so good.
His upper body movement used to get him out of trouble if thats slowed too his comeback aint going to last too long against a live body.

This guy Haye is fighting is bolt up right with an OK jab its literally all Haye has to look for his power shots are all massive wind ups he's not really a puncher. All Haye will be looking for is to slip the jab and counter it would be funny if has a granite chin and can take Haye rounds. ha.
