Got to hand it to Haye he's one of the few boxers that will fight guys that outweigh him by about 10 weight classes, Imagine a Featherweight giving up 100 pounds and challenging David 'Giant Killer' Haye like Haye did vs Valuev

I think going to your knee so as not to allow your much bigger opponent to illegally lean down on your back and tire you (if he's at home and the rules are not being properly enforced) is a pretty sensible solution.

Why allow him to break the rules and sap your strength just because the ref will let him? People just aren't ready for Booth and Haye's pioneering methods.

Well, there is more than one way to drain an opponent.

OK. So you admit he took the knee on purpose. That's a point every time. Gotta go readjust my scorecard.

u figure haye would have been ready for the clinch, but everytime Wlad went for the hug Haye pretty much obliged him or fell down....whatever happened to "punch and get out" when clinching?

Nah he was clearly pushed. He just didn't try his damnedest to stay up. Why play the German's game?

Didn't the ref dock Wlad a point for illegal tactics, before bottling it under pressure from Manny & the hostile German crowd?

Yep. Anywhere else in the world Wlad would have been DQ'd. On Germany they give him points and a new belt.

Haye's acting job got a point deducted from Wlad early. He thought he could get a few more that way. Once the ref realized he was duped he took a point from "Downy" boy and told him one more flop and he would be counted out.

The Brits that still wail on Dirrell for flopping. :rofl
