Haye - Marciano signed

    It is official David Haye has signed to fight Rocky Marciano. Haye, who had trouble finding anybody to fight him * signed to fight Rocky 2PM EST 9/19/2008. The fight will take place at the Garden in late December.

    Haye was quoted as saying, "this fight against an ex-great will prove to the fans that I am ready to fight the best in the HW division and will soon be the new undisputed HW champ of the world".

    (*anybody under 42 years old)

    Haye is showing guts with this matchup...they said he wouldn't fight anyone with a pulse, that may be true but he picked the toughest guy with no pulse he could find.

    ...and Marciano has no problem with the low 6 figure purse, it was good money in his day.
