We will see if choosing Mormeck in France for his last fight at cruiser (and his first fight against a top 10) was a mistake for Haye. Mormeck has had a good career and he does not need to keep his belts to cash a last time against Tiozzo. His opponent is introduced as the next Lennox Lewis (?!?) and a defeat wouldn't be shameful. It's different for Haye. Haye does not want to think of that but a defeat against a 35 years old natural LHW who fought at middle at amateur could ruin his future career as a credible HW. It's a fight that will make or break him, he is in the hometown of an experienced champion, not many boxers admit that but be sure Haye is not so confident...
Someone please PM me if you know of a way I can catch this bout, I'm really looking forward to it and want to watch it live. Thanks
This is a fight I think would be foolish to bet on because there are so many intangables favoring both sides. I'm pulling for Mormeck cause I simply like him more, but a win for Haye is better for boxing over all. Something tells me that Haye will win, but I hope I'm wrong.:smoke
To be fair Haye was pretty green back then. Actually Carl thomson vs Mormeck would've probably made a better fight prime for prime.
